A large, lively French style bistro, on more than one floor, in the New City area of Marrakech. There is a bar on an upper level and the decor creates lots of atmosphere. I really enjoyed the vegetable penne pasta I ordered, always being grateful I can even get a vegetarian meal when I travel far from home. My husband... More

nice oldfashioned bistro with chic terrasse but nothing special. the food was good but the service was poor. manager was busy with some vip guests-friends which was annoying and kind of sore. no charme but still reservation needed. actually you do not have many cafes / bistros in marrakech, especially if you like to have a drink or love your... Conceptually it's very nice and I understand why it's busy most of the times specially with tourists and expats ... It looks like a French bistro/cafe , licensed ( serves alcohol ) and has an international menu For me it was quite ordinary , it's not bad but not so good either , just an average joint with nice vibe... I was lucky enough to spend 5 weeks in Marrakech, and Le Grand Cafe de La Poste was one of the stops that my local friends took me to. My friends did the ordering, which made things very easy. The service was no different than the vast majority of places I went to, they came by to ask for our... More

We had morning coffee here on the terrace and returned on a different day for lunch inside. The food was good, the service both times was friendly but very very slow. The decor is lovely, very old-style and we would certainly return if we had time!

We had lunch here after seeing the Majorelle Gardens. We sat out under the awning and had a tremendous salad and a nice bottle of Grey Morrocan wine. For some reason they call rose wine Grey. Good value and rivals anything in Paris.

At breakfast, the wait staff were self-absorbed and slow. The cigarette smoke was hard to avoid, and the prices too high. On the other hand, they did have nice Italian-style bacon - just beware of the bones.

Le Grand Cafe take you back in the colonial time. It's so French, and you most probably like to take a rest from the Medina and the local food after a while - then this is your place. On the upper floor you can have your favorite drink or two. We had a dinner in the bar area - he... More
