Delicious and very affordable food. Good view of the Jmaa el Fnaa. Been there three years in a row. I've ordered the tagines. I like the way you write your order down on a piece of paper and that returns as your bill. Very easy to do when jet-lagged.

We had lunch here twice during a 3 day stay and everything was great. Very low key service (you write your order on the paper given to you) and great flavors. The soup was a big hit as were the tagines and meat skewers. Big portions for lunch could be shared and the prices were great. Enjoy!!

read about this restaurant located in Jemaa el Fna--the top floor is worth the climb to get a photo of the square at night tables at the window may be hard to get--actually the food was pretty good too-you get a menu and paper with pencil you write what you want !! Fast service --menu in several languages reasonable prices

This was on the main square, served cheap and tasty food. Worth trying to sit on the balcony to really soak up the atmosphere of the square; especially in the evenings.

Although there was no alcohol, we decided to try because of some good reviews. we were the first in at 7.30 pm and the food was unbelievably poor. Brochettes that were grisly and a tagine that was so oily you could light a lamp with it. Maybe we hit them on a bad day!

Average local food, the menu was typical of the local restaurants. (tangine, couscous etc.) You have to write your order on the a piece of paper that the waiter give you. We got a table on the terrace and one good thing is we didn't feel we were pushed to leave.

You get what you expect, tagines, couscous etc The quality is OK and not great and the cost is not high. If you want a nice view and something to eat go to the panorama floor. Its an ok place to eat but nothing special.

In a way this place sums up Marrakesh's Jama Al Fanna. A place which has geared itself to the arrival of tourists. The square oozes the exoticism and mystery that Europeans or Americans crave when they come to the East. Anyway Chez Chegrouni's food is incredibly bland. In fact saying it's bland an insult to blandness. I felt like I... More

Affordable, friendly, and tasty, they have some of the best tagines in Morocco. The chicken & almond never disappoints. The people watching in the corner of Djemma el Fna is fascinating as well.

The waiters were uninterested, the food was cold. We ordered a chicken tagine and meat skewers, both were cold. When we asked for a replacement, that was also cold. When the bill arrived they were very keen to tell us that "service was not included" We did not leave a tip and told them why. The view is good, shame... More
