Came here for last night in Marrakech. Traditional themed restaurant offers set menu of various salads with bread and lamb or chicken tagine. Traditional entertainment was very discrete and unobtrusive. Very small restaurant so you have to book in advance Staff not particularly friendly and probably expensive for what it is. Glad we went but wouldn't rush back.

Very traditional food, lovely place with Maroccan musicians playing enjoyable music. They serve 5 plates-menues including wine. Better reserve a table ahead, as it seems to be fully booked most evenings. Super-close to the riad El Fenn, only 2 min walk.

had dinner with a party of 7. Keep in mind, this is a restaurant - or rather - maroccan experience dinner, no menu' , they bring you the food. From appetitizers to dessert. The riad is hard to find but worth it, beautiful atmosphere, ask for a ground floor table based on what others saying that first floor tends to... More

What a lovely place, with excellent Moroccan food and a beautiful, candle-lit atmosphere. There were 10 salads to start, all very good indeed. Two tagines and couscous and dessert. There are house wines to accompany each course, but none of this is made clear. Our waiter clearly had better things to do with his time--he was brusque and inhospitable, and... More

We booked this dinner for our last night in Marrakech. I came here with a friend (both girls) and we were ushered in a locked door and up to the first level in a cramped space staring straight at a wall. You come to this place for the atmosphere, it's cited as one of Marrakech's top restaurants but the staff... More

As you spent no more than 10 minutes at "Le Tobsil" before leaving withour having dinner, I wonder how you may speak and make a judgement about" the better service you may expect for the price you are paying"...!!! Some of our guests at the time they reserve, make a request for a table upstairs, or downstairs, which you didn't.... More

Unfortunately we had a guide who helped us to find this restaurant otherwise we probably would have benefited by not finding it. After a knock on a locked door, we were shown into a dark area. We were taken upstairs to a overheated area in a cramped location. Downstairs seemed better. Then, the nightmare began. There is no menu and... More

What a lovely place this is! Was recommended to is and we weren't disappointed. It's tricky to find but worth the effort. We had a delicious set menu with wine. The food was excellent (especially the 11 plates of salad as a starter) and service attentive. You get A LOT of food so go hungry!

My wife and I had dinner at Le Tobsil during our trip to Morocco this month. Overall we're glad that we ate there but we probably wouldn't go back a 2nd time. It was a good and unique experience, but the food was average to good, and I'm not sure experiencing it a 2nd time would be that worthwhile. The... More

The cost of the Set menu at "Le Tobsil", which includes house Moroccan wine, mineral waters, tea/coffee is: Mad 640, which is about 50 to 60 Euro per person, depending of the exchange rate. NOT 80 €. More

I had heard excellent things about the hidden riads with disarming interiors and unexpected splendour at the end of dark alleys in a dizzying labyrinth of streets, and Le Tobsil fit the description perfectly. Christine Rio has created an ambiance of a warm front room in a traditional moroccan home (albeit a rather large one!), and the service and food... More

Le Tobsil is one of the most romantic restaurants i've ever experience. Walking down some back street alleyways escorted by a member of the restaurant stuff it was a magical moment when the discreet door opened only to find inside this beautiful and romantic place. Low lighting coming from candle lights on the tables and lamps, rose petals spread on... More
