If you are in Marrakech please try this restaurant. It is hard to find but truly extraordinary when you do.

The food was amazing. The best form of Moroccan cuisine imaginable in a beautiful old palace. Slightly difficult to find, but their staff pick you up at a bigger road where taxis can stop and take you through the alleys. Adds to the romance of it all...

The absolute best experience! My favorite meal in Marrakesh. It would be very hard to find on your own, but with the help of a strategically placed guide we were able to find it with no problem. I chose this restaurant after having read many articles looking for a good location for an anniversary celebration. I am so glad this... More

This was a great restaurant recommended by Pierre at Dar Les Cigonne. He warned us the Moroccan tradition was to give you too much food so they would then have extra to give to the less fortunate. Well, he wasn't kidding. It was a set menu with several little salad- like dishes to start then a chicken stew or maybe... More

We went to this restaurant following a recommendation and were very disappointed. We agree with a lot of the recent reviews as we too didn't find it value for money and felt it was expensive for the quality of the meal we had - it was more on quantity rather than quality and the lamb was very chewy for meat... This place was recommended by the Riad we were staying at around the corner. For us finding it was not a problem, but I can imagine that if you were coming from somewhere else it could be daunting, especially when leaving after the meal. The restaurant its self was pleasant enough, service was good and there was plenty of food,... More

Don't expect to find any Moroccans eating here but that didn't bother us. You need a guide to find it as it is down several alleyways but it really is like the photos. We ate in the courtyard which feels like it is inside, but when you look up, the roof is open. There is no menu, just the set... More

Really the walk to this place is the best part .. All sorts of alleys .. A Marrakesh adventure .. The interior setting was as Morrocan as it gets .. But once you get to the food part .. It was very normal .. Plenty .. But not delicious.. Also the fixed menu concept left you out of choices ..... More

We wanted to try this restaurant because it had been recommended and we had heard that the aromatic couscous was seriously good. In fact, the whole evening was disappointing. The journey there round the little walkways is cute and adventurous and when the door opens and you step in, it is a magical place of dim lighting and Moroccan furnishings.... More

This restaurant seemingly offers everything in terms of the true Moroccan experience, however, it falls down on several fronts. No Moroccans eat there! This becomes evident as to why when the food arrives. We went to sample the best Tagine and couscous in Marrakech. The lamb Tagine was disgusting, tough meat served with a bland chick pea 'gravy' and over... More
