A carpet salesman sent us & it wasn't too bad. The setting is gorgeous buried in the middle of the riad. A set price lunch for 250dh or a la carte for 150dh or so. The usual tagines, brochettes but they also have pastilla.

This restaurant was recommended in my guide book, we had to ask for directions as it's right in the middle of the souk. Walking through the back of a carpet shop and down corridors it reminded me of Mr Benn; being transported to another world. The court yard was beautiful and tranquil and immediately I thought : this is going...

The food was poor for the price we paid!!!
We ordered a few tagines and skewers. Having been to a few decent local places before this, we expected the tagine to have some sauces to dip ur bread into. Instead the tagine came out dry and it tasted as though it was reheated in a big pot and just scooped...

Bought a teapot from a shop and ask the shopkeeper for food recommendation and they bring me here. Nice quiet place... Food is average, not sure if worth that price. Tourist place for sure.
I had lunch with my girlfriend, and for two mains and two drinks we paid 420 dirham, absolutly out of the box. The food is not terrible, and the place is beautiful, very authentic, but there are much better places for far less money.
We were led here by a guy feigning assistance in our endeavour not to get lost in the souk! It was certainly very peaceful and tranquil from the hubbub of the narrow cobbled streets. It was lunch. My husband's skewered meat was fairly overcooked, my choice was the Morrocan starters, which were fine. In summary, nothing special, but ok.
Just when you are wondering how to take a pause from the bustling Medina, the solution is entering this (a bit hidden) oasis: in Place des Epices, ask some shop for indication and they will lead you there. The food is purely Moroccan and we enjoyed it in this wonderful palace with a fountain and silence.
while it was being done up the courtyard restaurant of this place was one of the best places to eat in the souk area. Now the prices have gone through the roof and totally are not worth the bother. such a shame
We had a lunch here after being encouraged to look inside by one of the staff. The court yard is stunning, really beautiful & peaceful with lovely comfy cushions etc. All this just yards from the souk. The staff were very attentive.
We had a set menu of 200 dirhams - note to owner - the menus are very tatty...

We were taken here for lunch by the guide we'd hired to take us through the Medina and souks.
Winding our way through a carpet shop (!), down passageways, we eventually ended up in a courtyard with tables set for lunch. There were no other diners there.
We were given a menu, and not knowing if there was really any...
