Worth the effort to find it

Not easy to find but nice and cozy. Elsewhere they write of frozen food, I really don't think so, we've asked for a chicken tajine with no onions and we had it, not that amazing but good. We've had quiche and pasta, both good, and strawberry crumble and tarte au citron, both really delicious. The... read more

My girlfriend and I visited this nice restaurant upon the suggestion of our riad host during our time in Fes. Finding the restaurant had been a bit of a challenge for us as the place is tucked away down a low traffic walk way. However, those who are more familiar with navigating their way through the Fes medina may not... More

Nice cosy quiet restaurant in a back street off Talaa Kbira, near Bab Buojloud. Food was tasty and the owner and staff very welcoming and helpful. Pastas and tajines were tasty as was the soups and desserts. Menu not extensive but prices were extremely reasonable. Wine was good and various fruit juices and milk shakes. Cooking was done with fresh... More

The restuarant is off a street selling fresh meat, veg etc. None of this fresh local produce was evident in our food. I ordered chicken & olive tangine. Then was told they had no olives. In Morroco! My chicken was dry and overcooked obviously pre cooked then frozen then added to the thin tagine sauce at the end. So an... More

This is a very nice and clean place in a small alley of the Medina maze. You need to ring the doorbell to get in which makes it a bit special. There is a nice rooftop terrace with a cosy seating area. The menu is small but all homecooked. We had some quiches to start which were excellent. The pasta's... More

Small menu, some good wines (also available by the glass), do not let the walk or closed door scare you off, it is worth the extra mile

A nice place with lovely rooftop terrace overlooking roofs of Fes. Menu is very limited. Food is simple is ok. Nothing spectacular, but still tasty. Good place when you feel like having a pasta when you get tired of Moroccan food. It offers limited wine selection and few bears on the drink list. Prices are ok for what you get.

This is a lovely quiet & calm spot. The owner is welcoming and gracious. We enjoyed our pasta dishes which were bothe beautifully cooked and presented. If you want a break from Moroccan cuisine, at good prices this cafe is well worth seeking out. It is near cafe clock and there are signs if you look up indicating the alley... More

I ve been to the coffee for a couple times , and didn't saw the reviews before that. The decoration is simple and the place is quiet . But , beside the fact that finding it is a bit of hard work , when I made it there, the staff are as cold as the place, barely she opens the... More

After wandering the streets of Fes, we ended the day at Le 44 cafe restaurant. Easy to find, the restaurant had a great pasta menu and decent wine list considering that we were in Morocco. I highly recommend dining on the terrace just as the sun is setting!
