This is a lovely quiet & calm spot. The owner is welcoming and gracious. We enjoyed our pasta dishes which were bothe beautifully cooked and presented. If you want a break from Moroccan cuisine, at good prices this cafe is well worth seeking out. It is near cafe clock and there are signs if you look up indicating the alley... More

I ve been to the coffee for a couple times , and didn't saw the reviews before that. The decoration is simple and the place is quiet . But , beside the fact that finding it is a bit of hard work , when I made it there, the staff are as cold as the place, barely she opens the... More

After wandering the streets of Fes, we ended the day at Le 44 cafe restaurant. Easy to find, the restaurant had a great pasta menu and decent wine list considering that we were in Morocco. I highly recommend dining on the terrace just as the sun is setting!

I was in Fes a few weeks ago for the 20th anniversary of the Fes music festival. This year's theme was based on the Sufi mystic's work "The Conference of the Birds" . A remarkable and uplifting experience. A friend of mine had arranged a small photographic exhibition at Zahra's Cafe 44. Although I missed the opening (sorry MJW) I... More

Zarha has created a beautiful and relaxing environment in which to enjoy her international cuisine in the heart of the bustling medina. The decor is very minimalist and refreshingly simple, and the food is both delicate and tasty.

It was indeed great to have a break from the ubiquitous tajines or couscous, but the prices were very steep for what you got. The tabouleh salade was so tiny! The almond milk was however super delicious, the service was perfect and it is a really nice looking restaurant. It's just not good value for the price when compared to... More

The cold carrot soup was delicious and generous, the eggplant quiche small, the chocolate cake dry. It was a very nice place to relax and watch the graceful swallows, but the menu was quite limited if you don't eat pasta. Our friend enjoyed her fava bean soup. I would double the menu choices for a start. We were looking for... More

We had a very good pasta meal here. The staff was really friendly as well. It's pretty hard to find though, that's maybe why it was really quiet when we were there

Asks much as we've come to love Moroccan food, it was nice to find Cafe 44. The menu is simple--quiche, pasta, and salads with beer and wine available. Follow the signs to this restaurant hidden away in the heart of the souk.It is a relaxing place for lunch or a nice place for a light dinner on the terrace. We... More

Hard to imagine that this place is located in the medina. The old building is tasteful restored and the rooftop terrace is a nice and quite place with a great view. The service was wonderful and the food tasty! Main courses only Italian style pasta. It's not located on one of the main roads of the medina, but easy to... More
