The Fez Café is a charming Moroccan bistro set at the edge of our vast garden and topped by an immense rooftop terrace - perfect for a dinner under the stars. Under the careful guidance of Michel Biehn himself, a Provencal food connoisseur with three award-winning cook books to his name, our chef at the Fez Cafe crafts a market-fresh menu every day which draws its flavours from the Morocan tradition, the East, and the home-grown organic vegetables from our own garden. We only use fresh seasonal ingredients. Our bar and Foosball table help make it a fun Medina meeting place. Open everyday for lunch, and dinner. Michel Biehn is the author of several award-winning cookbooks published in France, Europe and the United States. For a few hours or a few days, Michel Biehn, aided by his wonderful Chef Hicham, the head chef of the FEZ CAFE, will be happy to share with their guests, their oriental recipies and secrets of Moroccan cuisine. The cooking class starts by shopping on the market with Si Mohamed, followed by the actual cooking of the selected recipies with both Michel and Hicham. Then, it will be time to enjoy the prepared meal. Price:80 € per person.

Walk through the beautiful garden, along the white iris-lined path, and you will find the Fes Cafe, which operates as a quality restaurant as well as a welcome drop-in away from the crowds of the Medina. It is a rarity in the Medina in that it is licenced (one of only 12) with some good Moroccan wines, we particularly liked... More

We went to this restaurant after 4 days in Fez, when we thought we already knew the Medina, but it was very hard to find the place, we had to ask for directions and a kind man took us to the main entrance. The restaurant has a garden on the front and the trees were full of oranges, a very... More

We had a nice bottle of wine, and we both ordered the Moroccan set menu, but for $1080DH, we would've liked the meal to be really special and it wasn't. The ambiance was nice and the waiter was friendly. The dessert (what was it called? Some kind of orange and cream covered pastry) was the best part.

Paul became a friend of ours during our stay. We dined - laughed - sat for hours in the gardens watching the oranges glow in the languid setting sun. The care and attention to ancient details, the store full of nomadic jewels and the exhibition space of different gourds was an added surprise. You will never ever be disspointed here.

We had a nice dinner here on the recommendation of the staff at our riad. Nice meal but a little on the costly side and not the best dinner we had in Fes. My partner's fish was over cooked and the risotto was not very good. My chicken and mashed potatoes was quite tasty. Pretty but lacks warmth. The gardens... More

oasis in the heart of the medina. Lunch is a good time to go - vegetable tarts, pastas and dish of the day change every day. We had excellent fennel tart, lemon zest pasta, salad of the garden. Didn't have a bad dish and we went three times. The rose wine is good too. There are fish and tortoises in... More

The garden is like a little oasis in the medina, it's worth going just to have a stroll. The cafe is colorful, its whimsical décor is amusing and pleasing. The food was delicate and delicious. They made a special order of pasta for my kids, who were longing for a bit of familiar comfort food. The menu is simple with... More

I had lunch at the Fez Café and I simply can't believe how beautiful and serene the garden is. The owner was around and so welcoming and generous with his suggestions to discover Fes in more depth. The food was really healthy and I enjoyed the homemade quiches and tartes. You should go for lunch or dinner and they have... More
