Description: The Fez Café is a charming Moroccan bistro set at the edge of our vast garden and topped by an immense rooftop terrace - perfect for a dinner under the stars. Under the careful guidance of Michel Biehn himself, a Provencal food connoisseur with three award-winning cook books to his name, our chef at the Fez Cafe crafts a market-fresh menu every day which draws its flavours from the Morocan tradition, the East, and the home-grown organic vegetables from our own garden. We only use fresh seasonal ingredients. Our bar and Foosball table help make it a fun Medina meeting place. Open everyday for lunch, and dinner. Michel Biehn is the author of several award-winning cookbooks published in France, Europe and the United States. For a few hours or a few days, Michel Biehn, aided by his wonderful Chef Hicham, the head chef of the FEZ CAFE, will be happy to share with their guests, their oriental recipies and secrets of Moroccan cuisine. The cooking class starts by shopping on the market with Si Mohamed, followed by the actual cooking of the selected recipies with both Michel and Hicham. Then, it will be time to enjoy the prepared meal. Price:80 € per person.

So happy to have come across the restaurant, we were able to order alcohol and enjoy cool beers in the garden.

In Fes for 10 days for the Sacred Music Festival, tagines and couscous get very old and it is iffy whether salads are safe, given the water contamination and poor hygiene at many restaurants. Our British friends suggested Jardin Des Biehn. It was very challenging to find, and we almost gave up, but a local Fassi workman, with a wheelbarrow... More

Don't miss this great restaurant. Not the cheapest but delicious food, tasty local wine and the most incredible garden.

We went to the cafe for drinks and wanted to stay for dinner. We looked at the website and it stated they would create vegetarian options for you, yet when we arrived and asked, they did not oblige. We had a few drinks but left hungry as it was late and did not want to spend time wandering the medina... More

This review is long overdue. My husband and I visited Jardin Des Biehn in February of this year. Staying here was without question the highlight of our trip to Morocco. As for the restaurant, we thought it was the best food we ate in all of Morocco. Moroccan food is very good, but as one foreigner living in Morocco said,... More

We visited the restaurant after a recommendation from someone. A delightful setting around a garden. Unlike other reviewers our service was friendly and attentive. We were offered an aperitif almost on being seated and had our food order taken promptly. My starter of glazed aubergine and warm chèvre coated in sesame seeds and roasted was heavenly. We both ordered duck.... More

Beware of the restaurant's concept which is not advertised: only when all tables are seated, the cook presents his menu. You order and wait...and wait...and wait (a little bit too long (+/- 1h15') for a delicious flavorful dish. The waiter compensated our waiting with an extra free glass of wine, which was fine, but unfortunately the mood was already gone.... More
