Real Restaurant Food

The food (dinner) at the Palais Amani is exceptional and creative. I ate a brilliant Avocado mouse and lamb tagine but unlike any other I have had in Morocco in over 40 years of visiting the country. If you are staying in Fes and want a night out visit the Palais Amani.

We enjoyed the restaurant of Palais Amani for its original menu, utilizing fresh ingredients and original recipes. The food is very good and menu changes are in tune with the seasons. Desserts were particularly savory, and the room is beautiful, with tilework, subtle lighting, and a serenity.

There were no shortcomings to the Palais Amani. It was a marvelous hotel, from the welcome we received upon arrival to the room upgrade to the beautiful large suite, to having breakfast outdoors on the third floor to lounging on the fourth and top floor. We were upgraded to a larger suite - always a good thing -- and were... More

The Palais Amani is right in the heart of the medina and it has the feel of a palace, yet it's homely and comfortable, wrapped around a lovely green garden decorated with tiles. The hammam is also superb and can be privately booked. There's a rooftop bar with great views over the city and the staff are super friendly and... More

This restaurant in the super-luxe Palais Amani riad is very underwhelming. The menu offered a fresh take on Moroccan cuisine, but the fresh take involved the usual food with fancy presentation (read: cooked but not served in the tagine).

Thank you for your positive appreciation of the luxurious dining environment that the palais amani offers and for outlining the fresh take on Moroccan cuisine that we do indeed offer. We are sorry however that you didn't appreciate the meal you had with us. In trying to satisfy both the demand for traditional Moroccan cuisine and the wish to eat... More

So so food and very expensive food. We ordered 3 dishes and 2 water and cost us 615 mad. The water is 45 mad each bottle. Environment is nice but it is not worthy it.

Although you obviously enjoyed your time with us and found the exquisitely restored palace a wonderful environment to be in we are sorry you found the menu and wine list prices perhaps not up to your expectations. As all is clearly priced on the à la carte and daily set menus, on the drinks list both in the restaurant but... More

The chef was most accommodating in that I asked for grilled fish with lemon butter sauce and rice - something that was not on the menu. In fact, it was so delicious I had fish every night after that. Simple, fresh and always beautifully presented. The chocolate dessert on my last evening was exceptional!

In the middle of the Palais Amani garden courtyard, next to the fountain, we enjoyed a secluded dinner amidst the intricate tile work. Dining was available indoors as well, but the weather was clear and the courtyard near the fountain offered a cool, refreshing atmosphere after a day touring the City.
