Budget dream

Main dish between 40-80dhs, excellent food. This is one of the small restaurant next to the Blue gate of medina. Small kitchen, 3 tables inside and couple of other tables in front, plenty of buzzing tourists passing around. This looks like as all the neighboring ones, but difference is noticed when... read more

If you are looking for a fancy place, this is not the restaurant to go. If you are looking for great food for a reasonable price, I really indicate chez said. We had different dishes and all of them were great: kafta with eggs and tomato sauce, chicken brochettes, vegetarian tajine, chicken tajine, and roasted chicken (at 40 dh each).... More

We had a good choice of set menus at a reduced out of season price of 50 dirham pp. The portions were generous and tasty and served with a massive smile and a lot of pride. Situated in the medina at street level you are in the heart of the action at any time of day. A proper Moroccan experience... More

After looking up places to eat on tripadvisor this place seemed like it had the best reviews and man I was not disappointed. On arrival we were given free Olives and bread plus an entree of red lentil soup which was delicious. As a group of 6 we decided to share 2x cous cous dishes and all had a main... More

My friends and I went to this restaurant on our last night in Fes and it was quite possibly the best meal we had in Morocco. It was super cheap (all our meals were 40 dirham each and most of the menu was 80 or under) and it was also delicious. The man serving us whom I think may have... More

This restaurant was amazing. The staff were great - friendly, patient and very accommodating considering we were a party of 6 with little to no French/Spanish/Arabic and a vegan. The food was incredible with a good selection, really cheap and the location was ideal for people watching. We were told that Fez would be a bit more expensive than Marrakech... More

This was such random luck as we were headed somewhere else but liked being in the middle of everything. Had couscous and the mixed grill. Lovely waiter and wonderful coffee. Full name is guenoun chez said -- worth finding for the couscous with chicken. Even their bread was better. Yummy lentil soup

Another one in the line of restaurants but not the best. They gave us a complimentary lentil soup which was very good and the best part of the meal. I had cheese omelette which was poor and had dairylee spread in the middle. The chips were cold. My husband faired better with prune tagine. Coffee excellent but he goes down... More

My friend and I spent 3 days in Fes (which is a long time for Fes, ha!) and tried MANY restaurants during our stay. This was by far the best! Very accommodating for vegetarians. We had the Moroccan soup, vegetable couscous and the grilled veggie plate (says fried on the menu but is definitely grilled). Everything was SO flavorful, best... More

GREAT SERVICE , LOCATION & VALUE Our waiter was exceptional, very warm and friendly staff. They treated us very well. The Moroccan salad was one of the best we have experienced - very fresh and tasty. The lentil soup was also on the mark. We ordered the chicken grill plate - was good (not amazing) but good.
