We were served in theory leg of lamb: massive pieces of bone with grossly overcooked meat as dry as the Sahara. It was black in color. None of our party of 12 could eat it, not even one of the street dogs we found in the medina. The atmosphere was dark and unwelcoming with chea folding chairs. It was in... More

Wondering around the Medina we stumbled upon this absolute gem, we were greeted by Karima, and she is just a lovely sweet kind person, who loved entertaining, that is clear. The food is delicious, the portion are huge but so good, by far the best food i have tasted in Morocco. The service was impeccable too, Fouad and Karima are... More

Our tour guide suggested we head here for a dinner one night in Fes, as it is an authentic, family run, Moroccan restaurant run out of an amazing three story house in the Medina. The house itself is just amazingly decorated and over three floors. The host and his wife were so lovely and so hospitable. They kept checking we... More

Went to this restaurant in the family's stunning house last night and was amazing. They have had the house in their family for 300 years. Such friendly hospitality and owner picks you up from your riad so you don't get lost! Food incredible too- I'm still feeling extremely full but equally want to return. Ask your riad to book in... OK, so 25 euros is expensive for Morocco, but you will receive the best Moroccan meal you had. Great hostess and great ambiance. A must go, if you have a little more to spend.

Worth navigating the medina to find. Very friendly service. We took our own wine, which seemed to be ok. Amazing food, perfect for sharing with a group. The pastilla was great.

To end our week long holiday we decided to eat here after reading several positive reviews on here.. result.. We were not at all disappointed. From the friendly driver that picks you up directly from the hotel to the delicious food, our entire experience at this restaurant was splendid. I could not recommend this place any more.

I can not recommend more highly the Dar Hatim restaurant. You are picked up from your hotel by the delightful owner of the restaurant and escorted down all the winding streets to Dar Hatim, which is his family's house right in the middle of the medina. We were greeted by his enchanting wife who oozed charm and wonderfulness and we... More

The owner picked us up at the Dar we were staying at. The menu is small but the choices are wonderful. Just my daughter and I went. The meal started off with bread, olive oil and olives. It was followed by cooked salads (12 dishes, seriously) including eggplant, tomatoes, carrots, etc. All were delicious. My daughter had the lamb and... More

The proprietor will come pick you up and take you to his beautiful home in the old Jewish quarter of the Medina. His charming wife and mother handle the traditional Moroccan cooking. The food was as good as that at the top local hotels. A great experience, not to be missed.
