It was a real treat to experience Moroccan hospitality at its best by the owners of this fabulous restaurant. The food was fantastic and the pigeon pastilla was better than its hype. We had a terrific dinner here. They had 4 different set menus with some options beyond the standard chicken or lamb tagine. The food was delicious and it was nice to be in a family run restaurant.

The medina is difficult to navigate and maps help only a little bit. Luckily, this place will pick you up at your riad and take you to theirs to feed you a great meal. This was the only place in all of Morocco that fed us a traditional meal with lots of salads and pastilla. The meals come with all... More

It was pouring down rain and we were looking for a place for dinner. Our hotel recommended Dar Hatim. There were 5 entrees covering a wide gamut. Plenty of complimentary appetizers. No alcohol on the menu but we saw a couple bring their own wine. Everything looked fresh and tasted wonderful. This was in a private home. The wife does... More

Gerant came and picked us up from Ryad Salama on the other side of the Medina, drove us to the restaurant and his wife served us a lovely meal prepared by family members. Their eldest son did his homework in the living room whilst we commenced our meal. The salads and the chicken pie were excellent followed by fruit and... More

I was on the hunt for traditional pastilla and our Riad sent us to Restaurant Dar Hatim. It was LOVELY! TASTY! A TRUE VALUE! and such a treat. The staff was knowledgable (it is a family run business) and they took incredible pride in their delicious meal of vegetables and salads to start and a delicious pastilla for our main.

While traveling in Morocco, our guide suggested we eat at the Dar Hatim, as the owners were personal friends of his, and he could vouch for the quality and preparation of the food. He was right again as the food, service and ambiance we all far above average. We had the chicken pies, which we were told was the specialty... More

This restaurant is in the old town of Fes, which is in an old family home. The decor, food and service was impeccable. Getting there will be a challenge, so you'll really need someone to guide you. If you're in Fes, get your tour guide to take you. English is very well spoken by the hosts. We had a banquet,... More

I was traveling with a group of women and we were taken to Dar Hatim for dinner. We had lots of offerings end enjoyed every bite. It was special for sure. I loved the location, walking down winding, narrow paths in the medina to get there. Truly a special evening and lovely hosts.

Our family had a wonderful dinner here - great ambience, great service, really delicious food. We had eaten at many places in Fes, and this was definitely one of the best, and the family was so hospitable, showing around the place, and always with such warm smiles.
