Description: An intimate dining experience in a beautiful setting, dinner at Dar Roumana's restaurant is a must-do for any visitor to Fes. Our talented French chef serves Mediterranean food with a Moroccan twist, and can be described as French/Moroccan 'fusion'. Changing daily, the dishes on the menu reflect the produce that's in season and bought fresh from the markets every day. Start with a drink on our roof terrace with spectacular views of the ancient medina of Fes, then dine in our courtyard restaurant. Decorated with colourful zellij tiling, carved cedar wood, a beautiful hand-painted bartal and intricate plaster, the restaurant is breathtakingly beautiful. In the winter, reserve a table for two next to our open fire, and in the summer be cooled by the splashing sound of the central fountain. Adding to the romantic setting is the attentive but discreet service. Allow us to transport you to a world of fine cuisine for the evening. We look forward to welcoming you to Dar Roumana. Reservations essential.

Fantastic food and ambiance. The riad (we stayed here too) is beyond beautiful and the staff are friendly and helpful. Stay in the Yasmina suite, you will not want to leave the room!

We stayed at the Riad during out trip to Fez and ended up eating dinner there two of the three nights. They food was wonderful and so thoughtfully prepared. Even if you are not a guest of the Riad, go for dinner, you won't regret it! Also note, Dar Roumana will send someone to fetch you if you are not... More

We only visited for a dinner. Very nice and well prepared food. We really enjoyed. We asked for to see one of the rooms. Just beautiful! So nicely decorated. The interior is the most tasteful I have seen so far in Marocko. Will definately stay here if I come back to Fés. Highly recommend!

Well, actually my favorite meal was the one we prepared at the cooking school outside of Marrakech. However, by the time we got here and it was our last night, I was quite tired of tagines and couscous and all the rest of that traditional Moroccan cuisine. Very much a French influence and an exceptional meal, beautifully prepared and presented.... More

I was very disappointed when the highly recommended restaurant, Dar Roumana had no room for us when we tried to make a reservation during our recent trip to Fes. I contacted Vanessa and "begged" her to try to fit in two more. She wrote back the loveliest response stating that indeed they would accommodate us. How lucky for us that... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of a bar near The Royal Palace. She was kind enough to make the reservation for us whilst we were there. The interior is typical Morrocan very clean and smart. The food less, so but was very good none he less. A good selection of Moroccan wine is also available. The... More

We ended up eating twice at Dar Roumana. After a long stay in Morroco it was very good to have a different style of food. Delicious salads and vegetarian options. Served in a lovely setting.

If for nothing else than the gorgeous dining room and it's marvelous 1920's atmosphere. Service was a little faster than in other Fez restaurants and unobtrusive. Food needs a little help: both of our salads could have been fresher and the flavors a little cleaner.the goat cheese seemed to have been cut quite a while earlier and had formed a... More

We were staying in the Medina, but at some distance from the restaurant; we made a reservation and they sent someone to lead us there; it was a very interesting walk. The dining room in the Riad was lovely and we sat down for dinner. Reviewing the menu I found it predominantly French and ended up ordering a Veal dish... More

This was a really lovely experience. We booked ahead and so there was vegetarian options on the menu, it was just brilliant. We were picked up from our Riad and walked to the beautiful Dar Roumana. We had a fantastic meal, really tasty and top choice. What I would recommend is that you book! Great people running the place. After... More
