An intimate dining experience in a beautiful setting, dinner at Dar Roumana's restaurant is a must-do for any visitor to Fes. Our talented French chef serves Mediterranean food with a Moroccan twist, and can be described as French/Moroccan 'fusion'. Changing daily, the dishes on the menu reflect the produce that's in season and bought fresh from the markets every day. Start with a drink on our roof terrace with spectacular views of the ancient medina of Fes, then dine in our courtyard restaurant. Decorated with colourful zellij tiling, carved cedar wood, a beautiful hand-painted bartal and intricate plaster, the restaurant is breathtakingly beautiful. In the winter, reserve a table for two next to our open fire, and in the summer be cooled by the splashing sound of the central fountain. Adding to the romantic setting is the attentive but discreet service. Allow us to transport you to a world of fine cuisine for the evening. We look forward to welcoming you to Dar Roumana. We ate at Dar Roumana our first night in Morocco. The food was largely European with some local influences, and we thought the meal was very good. The restaurant was in a very beautiful courtyard, but we were in an adjacent room. The room was still very nice, but we did feel like we were missing out. Make sure to... More

We ate here on our first night in Morocco as our welcome dinner from our tour company Plan-it Fez. The food was great. Not typical Moroccan food but fine dining food with a French flair. We had a group of 14 at two tables. The service was attentive and food was delivered hot and delicious. I would highly recommend this... More

It would be difficult to find a more exquisite setting for dinner. The detail in the wood, plaster, tile and the table settings make this one of the most beautiful places to dine in all of Morocco. The food was excellent, tasty, and served with graciousness. a place not to be missed in Fes.

Vincent is a French chef with experience in Michelin stared restaurants. The food was unbelievable -- my duck was succulent and not fatty -- everything was wonderful. Best idea -- stay in this riad and dine there at night.

We came due to good rating on Tripadvisor and were slightly disapointed. It is a beautiful building and the staff/owners are friendly. The food is good, but definatley not in the fine dining/michelin level. The presentations were boring and nothing unexpected, compared to restaurants in Marrkaech its quite unspohisticated. Nevertheless a good place for a nice dinner but it did... More

This resturant may have the best ambiance I've eaten in. It is intimidate dining room set inside a grand atrium - perhaps 4 stories tall. The food was very good as well. The price is steep but we were celebrating our love of Fes so we could easily justify it. It's really worth the experience!

The interior of the Dar is reason enough to go, but the French cuisine is of high quality and the whole experience a pleasure. Wine and beer are available.

If you arrive a few minutes early, you are welcomed to site in the side parlor (alkove) with comfortable historic chairs and lounges next to a wood based fire in the fireplace. Here you can enjoy a drink or some fresh local almonds and pistachios before your meal. Did you know that they grow and produce wine in Morocco? The... More

Good menu - modern fusion of Moroccan/Mediterranean/European - fairly priced, and with enough choice for most I imagine. We could have chosen several things from it. Short but sound wine list - we had an outstanding local wine called La Petite Ferme. Service subtle and quiet, but spot on. Food was well cooked and presented. The dining room is not... More
