Authentic Riad experience and heavenly couscous

Our group of ten had dinner here at the suggestion of our guide. Fixed menu, many courses, family style. The food is good on average, but the couscous was the lightest and most flavorful I had while in Morocco. Wonderful restaurant and good service. $$

We had the most enjoyable, authentic experience here. The charming owner came by the table to explain (in perfect English) his family's connection to the property and his commitment to this neighborhood restaurant. The excellent and plentiful food choices were accompanied by stellar service. A special place we recommend to anyone who visits Fes.

Was put off a bit by the reviews, but our guide recommended it and we were not disappointed. The family enjoyed the meal, very authentic, professionally served and quite tasty. The room was beautiful and the bottom floor of a riad. The price was quite reasonable given everything and what other restaurants charge, and what really made this a bargain... More

We visited Dar Anebar to eat Moroccan food and to hear Moroccan music. Abercrombie and Kent arranged this for us and also arranged the visiting musicians at our request. It's a Riad which seems somehow more authentic than some of the glitzy, restored ones. The decor is in beautiful vibrant colours but also subtle. The tables are tucked away in... More

We were on a tour with a group of 10 and had a private room in a very nice setting inside a well kept old Riad. The Moroccan menu was excellent and the food kept on coming. The service was good and the people were very nice.

As we arrived in Fes late at night we didn't get the whole picture of the crowded maze that it actually was. Walking out of this peaceful hideaway the next morning we couldn't believe the difference ! Yes, book a hotel in the old Medina. It's a once in a lifetime experience and this small hotel had everything we wanted.... More

Our tour group visited the Dar Anebar, which is also an inn, for dinner on a Saturday evening. The place is conveniently located right in the medina but close to its perimeter and in walking distance from our hotel (Palais Jamai). The large, open reception room at night is romantic and exotic, with a fountain in the center of the... More

The food was Moroccan, and very well prepared. The service was superb. The lamb tangine was very good, and also the chicken tangine was very good. They brought a lovely fruit basket at the end of the meal with some little cookies. The Moroccan tea with mint was also very good. They serve a very large platter served family style.

Our concierge suggested this restaurant for typical morrocan food. The restaurant is in a Ryad inside the Medina. They picked up us at the hotel, and guide us in the narrow streets, and did the same by the end of the night. We had dinner in a courtyard that is very nice, with beautiful decor. Like most of the restaurants... More

Our tour leader took us here for dinner when we visited Fes. It is a truly stunning riad. We had soup to start, chicken pastilla for main course, and another type of sweet pastilla for dinner. The food was good but it is the riad itself that is the real attraction. It is so beautiful that you can't help but... More
