good food in nice environment

We were on a tour with a group of 10 and had a private room in a very nice setting inside a well kept old Riad. The Moroccan menu was excellent and the food kept on coming. The service was good and the people were very nice.

As we arrived in Fes late at night we didn't get the whole picture of the crowded maze that it actually was. Walking out of this peaceful hideaway the next morning we couldn't believe the difference ! Yes, book a hotel in the old Medina. It's a once in a lifetime experience and this small hotel had everything we wanted.... More

Our tour group visited the Dar Anebar, which is also an inn, for dinner on a Saturday evening. The place is conveniently located right in the medina but close to its perimeter and in walking distance from our hotel (Palais Jamai). The large, open reception room at night is romantic and exotic, with a fountain in the center of the... More

The food was Moroccan, and very well prepared. The service was superb. The lamb tangine was very good, and also the chicken tangine was very good. They brought a lovely fruit basket at the end of the meal with some little cookies. The Moroccan tea with mint was also very good. They serve a very large platter served family style.

Our concierge suggested this restaurant for typical morrocan food. The restaurant is in a Ryad inside the Medina. They picked up us at the hotel, and guide us in the narrow streets, and did the same by the end of the night. We had dinner in a courtyard that is very nice, with beautiful decor. Like most of the restaurants... More

Our tour leader took us here for dinner when we visited Fes. It is a truly stunning riad. We had soup to start, chicken pastilla for main course, and another type of sweet pastilla for dinner. The food was good but it is the riad itself that is the real attraction. It is so beautiful that you can't help but... More

The riad is wonderful as it is an original riad with the garden inside and the fountain, the furniture and the decoration is chic but the cost is exagerated. The menu is fixed as the price:400 dirham per person plus dirnks cost. So we paid 460 dirham each one. The food is good and the cook is original. Not possible... More

Just a short walk inside the medina, through safe alleys, this restaurant offered a memorable Moroccan evening. All of the tables are either on the courtyard or inside one of two rooms off the courtyard. The staff was very attentive, and the food good but not exceptional. The lights were turned low and the ambiance provided an enjoyable evening.

The food quality did not match up to the price of 400 dirhams per person. As a global traveller, i find this to be on the high side. However, if you somehow ended up there you were probably trapped into a scam since it's quite out of the way. I found the atmosphere somewhat oppressive and dark while the food... More

On our last evening in Fez we wanted somewhere traditional and our concierge recommended this riad as Dar Roumana where we wanted to go was closed. It is a truly stunning riad. Beautifully decorated and lovely family photos giving a real sense of tradition. Sadly when we went the courtyard roof was covered with a canopy so there was simply... More
