Our tour leader took us here for dinner when we visited Fes. It is a truly stunning riad. We had soup to start, chicken pastilla for main course, and another type of sweet pastilla for dinner. The food was good but it is the riad itself that is the real attraction. It is so beautiful that you can't help but... More

The riad is wonderful as it is an original riad with the garden inside and the fountain, the furniture and the decoration is chic but the cost is exagerated. The menu is fixed as the price:400 dirham per person plus dirnks cost. So we paid 460 dirham each one. The food is good and the cook is original. Not possible... More

Just a short walk inside the medina, through safe alleys, this restaurant offered a memorable Moroccan evening. All of the tables are either on the courtyard or inside one of two rooms off the courtyard. The staff was very attentive, and the food good but not exceptional. The lights were turned low and the ambiance provided an enjoyable evening.

The food quality did not match up to the price of 400 dirhams per person. As a global traveller, i find this to be on the high side. However, if you somehow ended up there you were probably trapped into a scam since it's quite out of the way. I found the atmosphere somewhat oppressive and dark while the food... More

On our last evening in Fez we wanted somewhere traditional and our concierge recommended this riad as Dar Roumana where we wanted to go was closed. It is a truly stunning riad. Beautifully decorated and lovely family photos giving a real sense of tradition. Sadly when we went the courtyard roof was covered with a canopy so there was simply... More

We dined at this dar on a Monday night (perhaps this explains the quality of food) with high expectations given lonely planet write up and reviews. We were quite disappointed by the quality of the dishes (see detailed comments below). The service was pleasant, but a bit inattentive. They walked us to the main street and hailed us a taxi... More

I did not have the pleasure of dining here, but I did have the fortune of being able to visit this beautiful riad. It's a long story as to why I ended up being there without dining or staying at the riad, but I thought this review was worth writing as even just visiting was a wonderful experience. The owner... Our guide, the wonderful Momo, recommended this restaurant. We called and Ahmed arrived with his car and a taxi for our group of 6. He led us through the medina to a wonderful Moroccan feast in a beautiful location. From our first step in the door until we were dropped at our hotel, the staff treated us like royalty. Such... We read about Dar Anebar in a guide book. It more than lived up to its recommendation, including sending a young man to our hotel to lead us...and from...the restaurant, so that we wouldn't get lost in the medina. Next time we're in Fes, we'll stay in one of their roomy suites, which they kindly showed us. It's less expensive... More
