Rick's Cafe Casablanca is a restaurant, bar and cafe located in the city of Casablanca, Morocco. Opened March 1, 2004, the place was designed to recreate the bar made famous by Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in the movie classic Casablanca. Set in an old courtyard-style mansion built against the walls of the Old Medina of Casablanca, the restaurant - piano bar is filled with architectural and decorative details reminiscent of the film: curved arches, a sculpted bar, balconies, balustrades as well as beaded and stencilled brass lighting and plants that cast luminous shadows on white walls. There is an authentic 1930's Pleyel piano and As Time Goes By is a common request to the in-house pianist

The legend lives on

Dinner at Rick's Cafe was the finale of our two-week tour of Morocco, and a very fitting one. The restaurant lives up to the vision of the film, with drapery, fireplace, and live piano and sax music - with the movie playing in black-and-white by the bar upstairs. Little lamps with tassels shone lovely warm color on the tables, which... More

This has to be one of the most pleasant and enjoyable evenings spent in a restaurant. Adorable food, exquisite ambiance and just beautifully put together package for the senses. Of course it helps to be a Casablanca fan, (the film), but that is not a prerequisite. Just lovely.

Tremendous atmosphere, excellent food, easy to miss the entrance looking anything but a restaurant, I may recommend the salade de gambas and cheesecake.

We went to Rick's Cafe with our 2 children (13 and 10). We booked a table for fairly early 7:30 and upon arriving the maitresse d'hôtes looked at us and deliberately seated us in the very corner of the upper level of the restaurant. Throughout the night, NO ONE else was seated in our section. It was quite apparent that... More

We ended our city tour (prelude to carpet pitch) with lunch at the acclaimed featured establishment from the cinema classic. The decor and ambience were everything we imagined and more. Kudos to the vision conveyed by Kathy with her recreation of this place. The service was top notch, and the food devine. The feel was authentic as we would recommend... More

I was really looking forward to my evening dinner at Rick’s café having read some of the reviews in Tripadvisor. My host parked right outside the door and we entered through the relatively innocuous front door into another bye-gone world. In fact, as is apparently typical in this part of the world, the exterior to the property contrasted dramatically with... More

It's a wonderful spot with all the "fixings" of a bar/restaurant. A MUST when visiting Casablanca. But, be ready to spend plenty.
