Description: Rick's Cafe Casablanca is a restaurant, bar and cafe located in the city...
Rick's Cafe Casablanca is a restaurant, bar and cafe located in the city of Casablanca, Morocco. Opened March 1, 2004, the place was designed to recreate the bar made famous by Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in the movie classic Casablanca. Set in an old courtyard-style mansion built against the walls of the Old Medina of Casablanca, the restaurant - piano bar is filled with architectural and decorative details reminiscent of the film: curved arches, a sculpted bar, balconies, balustrades as well as beaded and stencilled brass lighting and plants that cast luminous shadows on white walls. There is an authentic 1930's Pleyel piano and As Time Goes By is a common request to the in-house pianist

Rudest management ever

Rudest managers ever..if you have a little problem (not about the bill) you will understand..waiters are good but , managers/owner are terrible..food is avarage , the only good thing is the atmosphere thats why they're so rude .The worst management i've ever seen (i've seen more than 40 countries... read more

When a friend suggested having dinner at Rick's Café while in Casablanca I was a tad sceptical, and arrived expecting some mediocre theme restaurant that would leave my tastebuds wanting. I was wrong. Much has been done to create a 1940s atmosphere without going OTT and tacky, and an air of sophistication and the attitude of "this is a real... More

I have seldom felt compelled to write a review on tripadvisor.com but this restaurant compells me to do so. Being a fan of the movie, I thought that we had to go to the resteraunt before leaving Morocco. So my wife and I went to Rick's on our last day in the country and are leaving with a bad taste.... Great service and treatment. Well decorated and excellent plates and drinks. Great work done to maintain the "Casablanca" atmosphere and piano music. A place not to forget

We were initially a tad disappointed when we realised (before arriving) that this is not the original Rick's Cafe from the film Casablanca. Once entering we were quickly transported back to the smoky heady days of the 1940s. The owners have created an amazing authenticity and atmosphere. We sat at the bar and sipped on (very reasonably priced drinks) gazing... More

Great decor and great service generate a superior atmosphere. The food would have been better if the John Dory hadn't been so dry. The piano didn't start until 9:15 but our reservation was for 7:30.

After a long walk in the hot sun, Rick's was a true oasis. A direct copy from the movie set, the atmosphere and service was fabulous. We sat right next to the piano, and it was not hard to imagine the movie scenes. To top it off the food was terrific. Visit here not just for the nostalgia, but also... More

We expected Jazz and got Moroccan music. We expected a half decent meal served at a half decent time and we got cold veal at 10.30. |The bar was positioned upstairs and was the only one open which meant it was difficult to get drinks. The ticket price was extremely high and we imagined the manager sitting counting piles of... More

no frills at all unless you are a big fan of the movie itself... perhaps a bit overated....and the staff is not friendly at all ( perhaps they are tired ) to a point of being stern! would help if they loosen a bit and smile more! however the ambience is nice, great setting etc. esp if youre travelling in...
