Description: Rick's Cafe Casablanca is a restaurant, bar and cafe located in the city of Casablanca, Morocco. Opened March 1, 2004, the place was designed to recreate the bar made famous by Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in the movie classic Casablanca. Set in an old courtyard-style mansion built against the walls of the Old Medina of Casablanca, the restaurant - piano bar is filled with architectural and decorative details reminiscent of the film: curved arches, a sculpted bar, balconies, balustrades as well as beaded and stencilled brass lighting and plants that cast luminous shadows on white walls. There is an authentic 1930's Pleyel piano and As Time Goes By is a common request to the in-house pianist

Everyones opinon is different, I and my friends loved it, we were made to feel welcome from when we arrived to when we left. The food and wine were exceptional (if very large portions). The owner came and sat with us and spent time talking about her project, then invited us to walk around. I dont know how some people... More

Spending one day in Casa with a friend we decided to give a try to this place...we were amazed by it, boutique style decorated, wonderful couscous with lamb, obviously the casablanca's movie's music as background...wounderful experience, many may say it is overpriced, I say it worth it.

Ten years ago an American diplomat discovered a niche missing in Casablanca and created this homage to the famous film. The atmosphere is very pleasant, if a bit smaller than in the movie. But you should probably just stick to drinks. (Who really ate in the movie anyway?) Our table had trouble finding a dish of food we liked, and... More

This was my second visit to Rick's café. The first time was in January 2014 for dinner and the last visit was in December 2014 for lunch. For lunch I had the couscous with vegetables and lamb. This was a very large portion and was very good. Service is attentive but slow. Although there is a dress code we were... More

I went to Rick's Cafe for lunch. It was not fun. There is a dress code, no jeans, no flip flops allowed. I thought it was going to be quirky, touristy and fun. But the people there take themselves very seriously. The burger is bad too.

This is a great place to go. its not identical to the movie however its worth going to. Thought it might be a tourist trap but its not. Great staff who gladly took photos of us. Food was excellent. I had the best fish I have had in ages. it was cooked to perfection and tasted brilliantly, my friend loved... More

Put aside the attempt to replicate Rick's Cafe in design (that's a good lure and done well), this restaurant by itself has a lovely ambiance and one of the nicest decorated restaurants I visited in Morocco. Yes meals were more expensive than other establishments, but the venue is more elegant than most and restaurants with live music in Morocco were... More

If you have seen the movie and you feel that you must see Ricks then by all means go. The food is overpriced and the service is slow but the quality of the food is ok, so if you feel like you need to say you have been there, then by all means go. Get a T-shirt while you are... More

Atmosphere is perfect. Food is excellent (I had the traditional Moroccan lamb). And best, the prices surprised me. About $16 for my plate, which for this quality of resturaunt I found very cheap. Service is excellent. And yes the atmosphere is what you would expect. Great lengths must have been taken to recreate the Casablanca "feel" to the resturaunt, because... More
