Description: Rick's Cafe Casablanca is a restaurant, bar and cafe located in the city...
Rick's Cafe Casablanca is a restaurant, bar and cafe located in the city of Casablanca, Morocco. Opened March 1, 2004, the place was designed to recreate the bar made famous by Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in the movie classic Casablanca. Set in an old courtyard-style mansion built against the walls of the Old Medina of Casablanca, the restaurant - piano bar is filled with architectural and decorative details reminiscent of the film: curved arches, a sculpted bar, balconies, balustrades as well as beaded and stencilled brass lighting and plants that cast luminous shadows on white walls. There is an authentic 1930's Pleyel piano and As Time Goes By is a common request to the in-house pianist

Good Food, for the Movie Lover

Nice food - I had a veggie pasta and the service was fast. There was no pianist when we were there which was a shame as we went there during lunch, maybe that is just for dinner. For what it was it was expensive by Moroccan standard - approx. 150 dhs each for one meal and a drink. But worth... read more

So what if it's a bit of a tourist trap.. a beautiful restaurant over two levels - we had a table on the first floor. Lovely decor, great food and great drinks, though I would like to see a bit more for vegetarians. The service was good if a little slow at first as the place filled up quickly just... More

The interior is not the set,the waiters are not the waiters, the atmosphere is not the atmosphere and the food...well there is much better to be had and for a better value.. A complete and total rip off and the food was not passable ,either.

In spite of being a touristic item because of the film, you don't have the impression to be in a fake place or anything. The decoration, architecture and music is just amazing, and my latest surprise was that the food is really good too. You can have European cuisine, as well as Tajine and so. Honestly, one of the best... More

Full of charm and decked out to mimic the movie, we had a lovely dinner here on our last night in Casablanca. The menu is excellent and a good cocktail and wine list to accompany it. The staff were overly attentive as we were there fairly early and they were waiting for the place to fill up, which it does!... More

We had a lovely time in Rick's Cafe. Waiters a bit chaotic at start, but very friendly, and very quick and excellent service. Dress code applies (see their website) but not strictly followed when we were there. Very tasty food, and it's a lot ! Verry affordable too. I'd recommend the Moroccan dishes.

Ended a Moroccan tour with group dinner at Ricks. It is a beautiful space. Great service. Had set dinner but was very good , especially the fish. Get past the concept and enjoy a really good evening.

Visited Ricks on 16th June with my wife and two children. There's not enough adjectives in the english language to describe what we experienced from the time we got to the front door until we left. It was truely an amazing night for us all. The food was fantastic. My two kids ( 11 & 16) ordered t-bone steaks, I... More
