Description: Rick's Cafe Casablanca is a restaurant, bar and cafe located in the city...
Rick's Cafe Casablanca is a restaurant, bar and cafe located in the city of Casablanca, Morocco. Opened March 1, 2004, the place was designed to recreate the bar made famous by Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in the movie classic Casablanca. Set in an old courtyard-style mansion built against the walls of the Old Medina of Casablanca, the restaurant - piano bar is filled with architectural and decorative details reminiscent of the film: curved arches, a sculpted bar, balconies, balustrades as well as beaded and stencilled brass lighting and plants that cast luminous shadows on white walls. There is an authentic 1930's Pleyel piano and As Time Goes By is a common request to the in-house pianist

We had a wonderful time in Morocco, from Marrakech to Merzouga to Essaouira and back to Marrakech again. We had to stay one night in Casablanca because of our flight the next morning. Most people we knew who'd been there said skip it, but we found this metropolitan city to be beautiful and enticing. Wish we'd stayed more than a... More

OK, it's all a bit fake, but it is very well done nevertheless. We just stopped in for a G&T, and it was nice to sit at the bar, and enjoy the atmosphere. It's not the end of the world if you miss it, but if you have the time, I would think you'll enjoy your visit.

Dinner at Rick's Café - how could you come to Casablanca and NOT do this? Good food, elevator jazz, but live and kind of nice, excellent cheesecake and coffee - and just, well, very, very cool to be here.

We just had to go, got there after 5 for a drink. They were closed until 6:30??? Open for lunch and then closed for about 3 hours. We made it that far so we hung out at a cafe having coffee until 6:30. Drinks only, they send you straight to the bar. I felt like Alice in Wonderland, the bar... More

A few years back my wife dragged me to the ABBA museum in Stockholm. In spite of all my objections and preconceived ideas, I had the best day. There is a real deja vu here with Rick's Cafe. Did not want to go, but so glad we did. GREAT service, drinks and food. I am a big guy (183 cm,... More

Ricks takes you back to the movie Casablanca. The property looks authentic, the service was exceptional, and the food was delicious. I believe most movie lovers will find Ricks a must see on their Casablanca visit. If you haven't seen the movie please go for the food.

No trip would be complete to Casablanca without lunch or dinner at Ricks Cafe. Lovely restaurant interior; good service and the food is also quite good.

The atmosphere is great. You are visiting Morocco and the beautiful Casablanca and suddenly you are in a movie, in a magical timeless place. The service is very elegant and the kind lady, the owner we guess, came to welcome us before going back and be again part of the scene! Dinner, elegance, live piano music, we felt special guests.... Having drinks and appetizers in the room with Casablanca playing on the TV in the background was a fun way to start the evening. Next we were seated in the dining area and had a very good meal and ended up with dessert. The atmosphere was so much like the movie that it all made a person just feel like... More
