Very good Moroccan cakes and tajines.

This shop not only sells Moroccan delicious almond cakes, you can also buy takeaway tajines, for 2/3/4 people, such as lemon chicken with olives, prunes tajine with grilled almonds and sesame seeds and others. Also a pie (pastilla) made with chicken, crushed almonds, honey and topped with layers... read more

Highly recommend this place if you love almond product, there are so many to choose from, which we end having 2-3 pcs of each shown on the shelf. The filling one or the just almond cookies version. None was not good. My favourite is nut coat, cookies....very good with coffee or tea. MUST TRY & BUY SOME, just get a... More

Location not obvious from the street, but easy to find as everyone knows it. The small colorful shop is in a colorful building in a colorful location--a must-visit if you're at the main mosque. Besides, the pastries actually taste good and are reasonably priced and sold by friendly staff--what more to ask for?? Well, when we arrived a bit late... More

Spent over an hour trying to find this place, turned out to be in the new medina not the old as the map suggests. Well worth the time looking absolutely delicious even if your not into sweet things check it out!

Based on excellent reviews, we made a quick detour with a taxi to buy a box of cookies here. The places was smaller than what appeared on pictures and a few people already in so not much space left. I got a very unfriendly shop assistant to help me with a choice. You cannot blame a language gap since we both... More

Traditional Moroccan pastry shop with very good cookies. Worth the time to track it down. Luckily we had a local guide who took us there as part of our tour. So happy he did. We came home with a kilo of mixed cookies to remember our time in Morocco.

Tucked away off the entrance road into Habbous, Patisserie Bennis is a well known and established, traditional sweet shop. They have all kinds of savoury and sweet pastries on show. The mini pastillas, filled with seafood (shredded fish, vermicelli and prawns) are delicious, as are the jelabi-style sweets. Well worth picking up 500g to a kilo of different sweet pastries... When you go visit the Habius quarter, ask where the Bennis Patisserie is. It is located in an old traditional house. There is a wide variety of Loroccan cookies that are luch cheaper than those sold in lore modern patisseries.
