Couldn't reccomend this place more highly. We had soup to start which came with delicious dates, olives, good bread and Harissa sauce. Amazing lamb tagine with caramelised onion, and chicken with almonds. Too full up for pudding! The restaurant serves booze, and the service was really good. Our waiter made us feel right at home, cracked a joke that only... More

I had the best Chinese food of my life while visiting Paris, but when in a new area, my preference is to experience traditional local fare. There are always exceptions, of course, but I'm always quick to ask a native where he/she would recommend to go, be it a small cafe, a walk up, coffee shop, ice cream stop, or... More

We went there on friday evening and the place was dead (only 3 tables). The service was good but the food had absolutely no flavor to it. The tagine was mediocre. The bill came to be almost €50 for 2 main courses and a salad (no alcohol). Thankfully Casablanca was just a transit city for us and when we got... More

The best Moroccan restaurant in Casablanca. Quality of the food is exceptional, like eating at home. Place is very nice especially of you can have dinner outside. Just one comment, chairs are not very comfortable but the atmosphere, the food and this amazing tree will leave you a beautiful souvenir.

My colleague and I came for dinner and we really enjoyed ourselves! We had a table outside and it was very pleasant. The food is very tasty and there are many Moroccan traditional dishes to try at a reasonable price. It was a mid week day but the restaurant was full so do book in advance. One remark: the waiters... If you are in casablanca, and you want to have the typical traditional Moroccan food, there is no other place than al Mounia restaurant. I am Moroccan and I love this place because you have the best Moroccan dishes with the best service.

Very quiet outdoor setting. The ceiling is actually a beautiful wide-spread tree canopy. My lamb kabob was heavenly. The other dish we had, a chicken tajine was good, but not great. Wait staff was fairly attentive and the price was reasonable.

On a recent cruise up the West African Coast, it was recommended that if in Casablanca, Morocco it was a must to have a meal at Al Mounia. What a wonderful recommendation! We arrive to a beautiful, private courtyard covered by a huge tree and selected a table in the shade. We were quickly attended by the hostess and Owner,... More
