Very quiet outdoor setting. The ceiling is actually a beautiful wide-spread tree canopy. My lamb kabob was heavenly. The other dish we had, a chicken tajine was good, but not great. Wait staff was fairly attentive and the price was reasonable.

On a recent cruise up the West African Coast, it was recommended that if in Casablanca, Morocco it was a must to have a meal at Al Mounia. What a wonderful recommendation! We arrive to a beautiful, private courtyard covered by a huge tree and selected a table in the shade. We were quickly attended by the hostess and Owner,... More

We were looking for a special Moroccan food experience on our first day in Casablanca. This restaurant was a perfect choice for my wife and I!

The restaurant is secluded beyond an iron guarded gate. Once you pass this oddity, you enter a beautiful garden with a giant pepper-tree whose branches are creating a labyrinth over your head. The decoration is simple and the food is Moroccan. We started with a selection of fresh mezze (those tomatoes salads, those aubergines!), followed by kefta and lamb, both... More

What a great setting and great service, you can nearly walk past the entrance but if you do get in expect a lovely experience. The Menu isn't the most extensive or in English but the guys will help explain what each course is and how much to order (still had loads even though we cut back at their suggestion). We... More

Having lived in Morocco for a long time, I know that the best Moroccan food can generally be found in private upper-class homes. The food of Al Mounia is as close as it can be to the delicious homemade Moroccan dishes. The atmosphere is peaceful and the service very friendly, and having dinner out in the large patio in the...
