Featured restaurant with Indian meals but!

Indian variety cuisine and service is very good living in the atmosphere of the wonderful Indian culture, but the meals need to be improved and the rate quite expensive.

came to approx £30 a head for two starters and three mains with rice and naans. Felt expensive but then that's typical Algiers. Was also full of families with very young children - two-three pushchairs and teething infants, which, typically for Algiers, the parents ignored and allowed to wail. No alcohol. Chief waiter is from Delhi.

Its been my favourite place since last 4-5 years I have been traveling to Algeria but reviewing it late as I was lazy . I am also amazed the way Algerians have taken to Indian cuisine. Any day of the week you go to this place you will find lots of locals savouring Indian delights. Only issue is they do... More

The standard Indian food like the lentils and the vegetarian dishes were above average but the Non vegetarian food was just about average. The service is poor. The hotel can do quite a bit to improve itself. An average imitation of real Indian food.

Very tasty Indian food with a wide variety in the menu to choose from. They have everything from starters, main course and even famous dessert items like Gajar ka halwa, Kheer and drinks like Lassi. Every item we ordered during our visit on Diwali night was great. The waiters are friendly and speak Hindi as well :)

I never expected to see a Indian restaurant in Algiers. The food was fantastic. Had a great lunch. Indian curry and kebabs were tasty. They have few Indian cooks who maintain the same taste you get in India. The biryani rice with chicken ...

Original indian food, very spicy, you have to be prepared. An advice the dish is very generous so ask only one dish for two people to save money and to taste more other dishes. Prepare your pocket for the overpriced addition:) but don't miss this experience: eating original indian food from indian cooks

I am always shocked at how good these 2 restaurants are in the Algiers area. The portions are fantastic large, big enough to share by far. Flavors are authentic Indian, and there is actually customer service!!! There is something for everyone at these restaurants, including parking!!! Well done, again, Taj. We'll be back.
