4th of July

We took our family here on the 4th July for dinner and it was just delightful. We had an outside table in the shade. The service and food were extremely good. We have dined here a number of times and it is always a great experience. We even had a front row seat for the fireworks at dusk.

We've been to the lake areas numerous times over the years and this was our 1st time dining at Maxwell's and we'll be coming back very soon. Two types of dining styles ~ inside very formal or outside with covered patio or tables with umbrella's. The food and drinks our family enjoyed was a grand experience ~ Our server was... More

My wife and I (and our friends) go here all the time. We love how we can eat great food at a good price on the patio or, if we want to have a more "high-class" night out, we can eat inside. Both menus are very good but be forewarned the inside menu is much more expensive.

We stopped here before our way out town on Sunday after the 4th of July. The inside was done up more like a formal dinning area, so we sat outside on the patio, also to view the lake. The food was great, and the kids meal came on a paper plate that fit inside the Frisbee. We had a chicken... More

I've been to Arnold's Park many times but never eaten here. We decided to eat here as it offers outdoor seating where you can see the lake and all the people walking around. The wait staff was courteous and didn't make us wait. Our food and drinks were good and the prices weren't out of line. I'd come back again.

This restaurant is first rate, service excellent....the pork chop with raspberry sauce is heavenly, as is the chicken breast with rosemary sauce and asparagus, also top shelf liquors and the timeless beauty of West Lake Okoboji, Iowa USA

If you're looking for a really nice place for dinner, I would recommend Maxwells. Excellent food, equally good service, atmosphere is relaxed but feels like you are a nice place. I would suggest getting the carrot cake dessert. Prime rib was excellent. Nice view of the lake. Again, highly recommend.

Fabulous fish tacos! We've eaten here several times and have always been delighted! Ahi tuna sandwich done to perfection. You can eat on the patio for casual beach dining, or go inside for a more more a more formal setting. For an area filled with bar food, this is a a refreshing change!

Maxwell’s is a classic, best Prime Rib in town. Rib eye, burgers, chicken are all good, as are all of the other menu offerings. Canadian walleye is very well prepared. Menu is moderately priced on some items, economical for others, a great all around place for dinner. Drinks outstanding and effective, price was very good with specialty mixed drinks around... More

A destination since the 1890s, the Okobojis are hardly undiscovered, and the options are many. But Maxwell's Beach Cafe is known to those of us who live here all or part of the year as summer's tops for fine dining. This restaurant is where one goes for an unhurried special meal on linen table cloths. All entrees are special, but... More
