I have eaten at Lucky Bamboo for lunch many times and have never been disappointed. They deliver a great meal in a timely fashion and charge a very reasonable price. Plus, they have recently remodeled making their dining experience even better. I highly recommend Lucky Bamboo as a great place to eat - dine in or carry out. Oh, one... More

I had never eaten here before and felt like giving this place a try. The food here actually was decent however, I ordered carry out and the year is 2014. It should be fairly safe to assume that they would accept credit and they let me order carry out without warning me that they didn't. Fortunately, I had just barely... More

We have continued coming to Lucky Bamboo at least once a week for nearly a year. The restaurant and the food is still one of the two best in Ankeny. The December 2013 review by another reviewer is subjective and inaccurate in suggesting the buffet across the street to be better. We used to be fairly regular customers at the... More

This is by far the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my entire life. Major lack of flavor. Chicken and sauce taste and smells very bad and rotten. Major lack of the American Chinese food fare... this not a legit Chinese food joint. Go across the street to the buffet you might be a lot luckier and the... More

Reasonably priced. Fast service and consistent food. I enjoy most of the dishes I have tried. I like the orange beef, and the lunch special vegetable chicken.

We are new to ANKENY and to Lucky Bamboo but we will become regulars. The early reviews made us cautious but we decided to give it a try. We are very glad we did. The decor doesn't excite your dining experience BUT the food makes up for it. The portion was generous, flavorful and very fresh. Our Kung Bao was... More

This was one of the best Chinese restaurants we've visited in central Iowa. The first impression is less than stellar: an order-at-the-counter place with fluorescent lighting and zero decor. But the food and prices were A-1. It was just two of us, so we didn't get to try much. The sizzling rice soup boasted a savory broth and the entree... More

Lucky Bamboo has always been the top of my list for Chinese in Ankeny. They have a great selection of food, and it is always made fresh and served hot. When ordering to go, they tie the bag up so your food isn't going to spill out. I love that this place had a 'special' you can get all day... More

Two of us had a very pleasant first experience at here. We shared a "full order" of Mongolian Pork, white rice, a large bowl of Chicken Sizzling Rice sou, 2 egg rolls and hot tea for a total cost under $20. The soup had an extremely tasty broth though it was a bit light on the chicken, rice and veggies.... More

Tried this place for the first time and was very pleased . Its a small place in a strip mall but don"t let that fool you. We had take out and the service was quick the prices were very good and the food was prepared well. Will be using them again. Oh all most forgot they do not accept credit... More
