I would never eat here. The owner charged $1 a plate for cake plates, unbeknownst to the person bringing the cakes. Due to this ridiculous charge, the person didn't leave a tip. This was in protest to the exorbitant rate for the use of a small plate, after we had just eaten a huge meal. When we were leaving, the... More

We dined here while in the area with several family members. Delicious Homemade chips--as many as you desire! The restaurant has a lot of windows and you can see the pond and geese outside--good things to check out with a toddler while you wait for your order. When we were there the baby geese had hatched and were very cute.... More

Greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant. Seated within a couple of minutes with menus and a basket full of awesome tasting, habit forming, homemade chips! Almost a meal within itself. The food we ordered was prepared as requested and no complaints. The atmosphere relatively quite for being Halloween and also a Friday night.Definitely a place to visit again... More

Hit this place for a quick bite on a friday night. Was instantly seated and noticed there were lots of family groups dining there. The menu looked very family friendly. My server immediately brought me the famous basket of chips and though I told myself I would only nibble on a couple of them. That didn't happen and I finished... More

I went here for a casual lunch. We were put by a window which looked out on a nice litte pond with geese. It was a very nice place to just sit. The food however was not so great. They do provide you with potato chips. Not just any potato chips, but in house made. They were decent, but not... More

This restaurant has a perfect location, right off the interstate. We were on our way to an ISU game & met up with some friends from central Iowa. Ordered spinach artichoke dip with our chips which was great. All of us had the individual pizza with a side salad. Salad was very ordinary and pizza just OK.

As a conesseuir of chips....this restaurant should be on your bucket list!! Loved, loved, loved the chips served fresh and hot along with different dipping sauces. The other menu items were just as delicious and the dining experience was like the old diners. A family establishment that is fun and quick.

When we drove up we thought the place was closed....yet it had a neon open sign flashing so we thought...maybe?? One in our party didn't want to try a place with no cars and where the outside of the place was grown up with weeds, but I'm brave, so we went in. After the shock of the outside we were... More

We stayed near this restaurant and it was close and it was late. It was a little loud when we entered, and we decided to look at the menu first before being seated. We each saw several things we could order, so we were promptly seated. The waitress was attentive and nice, and shared that her father was the owner.... More

Ate here with my family of four when we were staying next door as we were relocating out of the area. Although we lived in Ankeny for 4+yrs we had only been here one other time. The chips were not hot on this visit which was a big negative for me. My husband and I split a half a chicken... More
