Panera Bread is one of my favorite places to wait and meet people because of the wi fi and adequate seating. They are always trying new food products, their rewards program is fun, the service is always friendly. I always choose Panera when it's up to me to make a lunch choice.

Ankeny continues to grow in size but Panera still gives you that hometown feeling when you go in. There are always people stopping to say hi, both staff working there and locals enjoying coffee and a sandwich. There are often business meetings at tables and people playing cards at another. The service is fantastic, always making sure you get exactly... More

Panera Bread is great nearly everywhere you go, but this property seemed to have all its ducks in a row when we visited for breakfast while traveling. Sometimes, Panera scones can be a little dry, but these were perfect, as was the hot chocolate, breakfast sandwiches, asiago bagels, and the cookies we bought for the road. This will now be... More

Went for coffee, ended up with the ham and cheese soufflé as well (very good). Service was very slow. My friend waited about 10 min for a mocha. She had a scone that was so hard and crumbly. She should have returned it, but she didn't want to. The coffee was good. Bathroom nice and clean. I'll probably go back... More

Fast-food style "service" was fast, but the eating area was not particularly clean. Watery broccoli cheddar soup. Baguette provided was fresh but no butter was available. Companion had soup and a grilled cheese sandwich, but the cheese was unmelted and still cold. Wouldn't bother coming back.

As of late the cost vs. quality at Panera has done downhill. Last time I ordered the turkey/cranberry flat-bread sandwich and there was very little turkey, 2 spinach leaves and exactly three cranberries. When I contacted the company I was told they were making smaller sandwiches - great when they want no expense but charge more. The Ankeny location has... More

We eat at Panera's approx. 2 -3x a month. The food is always tasty, fast service and reasonable rates. We love the soups, especially In the winter. The cup of soup is more like a bowl

I've frequented this place for years, and again on an April day my friend and I had our cups of coffee here. The indoor seating is diverse. Square tables, round tables, long ones for a group of more than five, booths, tables with high stools and a sofa around the corner for a lone patron. After getting my coffee, I... More

I have been eating at Panera restaurants in multiple places and for many years. Their food and service is usually excellent. Sadly, this Panera is far below par. The food was about the same as other Paneras - but they don't put out butter and when you ask for it at the counter, they only give you the fake stuff.... More
