Nice place with good service

I wasn't feeling well, and went there for breakfast at about noon. They were willing to make changes to their standard menu options, which I greatly appreciated.

January2015 Village Inn has buy one, get one free on Sundays on skillets. I tried the chicken cordon bleu and it was really good. It came with pancakes. This place has very friendly staff and is clean and I got a corner that was warm on a very cold day. Marcydiner tantrum scale of 5/5-no screaming kids. Despite many children... More

Staff was helpful and friendly. They quickly fixed an issue with some undercooked eggs and took great care of us. Food was good.

Three out of four of us ordered breakfast for dinner. Only parts of the order were brought out and we were told the rest would be coming. Who would want to eat eggs with no toast, hash browns, or sausage! The eggs were getting cold by the time the rest of the order arrived. Eggs ordered over hard were sent... More

We stopped in for breakfast one morning while in Ankeny. Village Inn offers many breakfast standards. All are well prepared and we were very pleased with our breakfast. The restaurant is clean and the staff is pleasant and friendly. I would not hesitate to eat there again.

I've eaten here before and they continue to provide delicious food, good coffee and a quick smile. My friends and I enjoyed a great breakfast.

I've lived in Ankeny for over two years and I finally made it to Village Inn. Breakfast is great any time of the day and their breakfast choices are amazing. Great service, great prices and of course free pie Wednesday is always a winner. Will be on my list to frequent more often.

My husband wanted to give me a break from cooking and took me to the Village just down the street from our home. We were greeted (well kind of) by the hostess and taken to a table in an almost empty restaurant at 10 AM. Our waitress (who's uniform could have used some Spray N Wash) was friendly and quickly... We stopped by this Village Inn well past lunch rush on a Sunday - we hadn't been for several years and thought we'd try it. The restaurant wasn't even half full but we had to wait 10-15 minutes to get seated. After ordering, it took more than 30 minutes for us to receive a very simple breakfast order. When I... More

The pies were pure heaven. The rest of the menu items looked as good as they sounded, We'll go back for sure.
