You can't ask for a better run family business. Great food, service and the best margarita in town. The Cadillac has been a staple of their drink menu, but don't let too many go down before you enjoy the Carne Asada steak! Enjoy and spread the word!

This is where all the locals come to have their Mexican food fix. Authentic Mex menu and family owned. The best margarita in town... Order the Cadillac!

Coming from California where we have excellent Mexican food, I am not sure what I was expecting. The chips were actually quite tasty, though the salsa was watery. The margarita was nasty - way too sweet - and I couldn't finish it. I had chili rellenos ($9.25) which were decent, but the olla beans (pinto beans?) were actually delicious. My... More

While this place is nothing out of the ordinary, it's a nice family-owned restaurant with typical Mexican rice, beans, and chicken or ground beef entrees. Staff is pleasant and attentive. Cold Mexican beers on draft and bottles. Chips are served hot with decent salsa. By the way, the meaning of "Calzador" is "Hunter."

I was recently introduced to this place and have eaten here several times. Chips and salsa are very good. Love the chimichangas. My kids love the cheese dip and to be honest, it is delicious. I had the taco salad here on one trip and it was NOT good. However, it is the only bad dish I have had here.... More

We go to Cazador several times a month. Fast service, great food, homemade salsa that's just incredible. The owners are pretty much always on-site and staff turn-over is low. A great local eatery!

We have gone to Cazadors multiple times over the past several years. Always family friendly, regardless of lunch or dinner weekday or weekend. Ample servings, and a cheese dip that is cheesy not soupy. Outstanding food, worth a try.

Cazador's is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Ankeny. I like the ambiance, the amount of seating, the service and the food. Their enchiladas are some of the best I've had.

Cazador has great food, excellent variety in menu options, tasty beverages, very prompt and friendly service. The service puts this place over the top compared to other Mexican restaurants. The owners and staff are always welcoming with a "Hola mi amigo" and hand shake. We dine here 3-5 times each month for great food and friendly hospitality. Favorites - chimichanga... More

My boyfriend and I were extremely excited to try El Cazador, however, the experience was not what we expected. The restaurant itself is clean, the service is fine, but the food was terrible. My boyfriend and I got something completely different and both of us couldn't eat much, and left hungry. If you are looking for good mexican food in... More
