For a superb night out, this restaurant was perfect. The service was excellent and the dining room was very traditional. The menu selection was well worth the short wait we had to get in. The scallops and salmon were excellent choices. It is worth the distance to fine dine in this establishment.

The sushi chef there was amazing and let us try a bunch of new things before we decided on what we wanted. This was one of my first times having REAL sushi (with raw fish, not just veggies) so I was scared I wasn't going to like anything. I loved everything he made for me and he even gave us... More

We went to Waterfront Seafood in Ankeny after leaving another restaurant in Ankeny having waited over ten minutes to get menus that never arrived. The contrast was striking. The wait staff was attentive, the drinks arrived as ordered and the meal was paced well. I had sushi and my wife had the grilled salmon and both were excellent. We had... More

We organized a group of friends from various parts of the Midwest who were together in Ankeny. Based on a recommendation, the group had dinner at the Waterfront Seafood Market restaurant. The entire group of twelve were very please with the food and the service rating both as very good. We ordered a variety of food and everyone agreed the... More

I have always had great meals every time I have been here. The service tends to be a little slower when you sit outside, but it is usually a beautiful day and I am enjoying the day when we go here. We usually go for lunch. I tend to order the salmon, but have had lots of other great items... More

If you want good seafood, this is the place to go. They have a good selection and the portion size is nice for leftovers! Definitely get the clam chowder! I thought the price was right, I want to pay a bit more for good food. Just don't let the name get your hopes up for a waterfront, it's just a... More

This was our first time here, the place has a lot to offer, though we didn't know it until later in the evening. I would have appreciated it if the waitress would have recognized we we first time visitors and explained a bit what they were all about. The wine selections were average. We will come back again.

We were hungry and walked away full. The food was good with medium-sized portions. The cost was a little high ~$55-60 for my wife and I.
