I am a lover of all seafood. Went on a Wednesday for lunch at around noon. We were seated right away in the dining room. Our waitress was very friendly and prompt with refills. We found a large selection of items on the lunch menu from sushi, soups, salads, baskets, sandwiches, po boys, and a large variety of seafood either... More

In my last trip to Ankeny, I found this wonderful seafood restaurant! I loved it so much I ate here 3 nights in a row. First 2 nights I sat at the sushi bar, it was obvious from how busy the sushi chefs were that this was a popular choice. My only complaint would be that it seems that the... More

I must eat gluten-free,and that is always a challenge in a strange city. My hotel recommended the Waterfront Seafood Market and provided me with their number so I could find out if they had a gluten-free menu. While they did not, they assured me the kitchen could accommodate my needs so we decided to give it a try. My waiter... More

Get the GUMBO. It's a must. I always do their spicy tuna, sashimi salmon and unagi. Yeah, it's predictable. But always good to great.

We were staying at the hotel across the street from this place. We sat at the sushi bar and had some dynamite sushi! They have some interesting rolls like the Ankeny roll. Excellent service, looked like they had an actual counter that you could bye fish from. Restaurant was very busy but we sat right down at the sushi bar.

Appetizers were very good. The seafood entree was excellent. Nice variety of foreign beer. Virtually next door to the hotel.

We had dinner there on a Saturday night, and it was unbelievable. I had a tuna steak that was perfectly cooked, and the sourdough bread was a delight. My husband had the shrimp, lobster, and scallops and it was also quite divine. It is pricey but worth every penny.

There is a wide variety of seafood on the menu as well as a sushi bar. This location is a little more upscale than the West Des Moines location. The waitstaff has always been attentive and helpful.

Very relaxed atmosphere and casual dress is acceptable but, may require some patience with the service, as they are always busy and have people waiting. This is some of the freshest seafood you'll find in Iowa as it is flown in on a daily bases. If you're in the mood for seafood then this is the place to visit. I... More
