decent food great atmosphere

Went with 7 people. It was a busy afternoon (game on tv and valentines day). Everyone had a sandwich. Turkey sandwich good, burger good, muffaletta very salty and heavy on olive seasoning. Onion rings excellent. Everyone that had fries said toooooo salty. Great atmosphere (nice historic... read more

Not a good experience. The first red flag was when we first walked in - hardly any people there on a Friday night. Seated right by the door when there was an abundance of more comfortable seating elsewhere, and waited too long for our food. The food was very poor, the corn bread pairing the brisket was obviously up to... More

In Ames for a Dance Competion. Had an hour and a half to kill, so we thought we would try them out. The place looks very nice and upscale pub kind of look inside. We had high hopes. It was a Saturday around 2PM. Not busy at all. Should have been our first clue. Besides a state wide dance comp... More

Best service I've had in awhile. Waitress was attentive and had a wonderful personality. Food was unique and beer was great. Stayed for awhile.

I love coming here because the staff is always so welcoming. They have knowledge of the menu as well as their beer on tap. Always enjoyable and love it!

I am a huge fan of Micro Brews and on this note Olde Main does do a very good job. The food is very very expensive for what it is and there are few things on the menu that are worth it. I have tried twice with my Fiance. I got a "fish taco" which, no joke, turned out to... More

I have very much enjoyed the various beers the restraunt produces throughout the year. In fact, they also brew a very good root beer as well. The restraunt has a nice atmosphere and the service is generally good. The food is average to good for this sort of thing. Nothing to "write home about" not a nice supliment to the... More

This is a nice restaurant associated with a nice brew pub. They have a very nice selection of food that is very good. Sunday they have a buffet that allow you to pick a choose from a variety of food. I have been here several times and we have been very happy with the quality of food and service.

Wonderful atmosphere and good wait staff. They offer a vegetarian and gluten free menu, but fall very short on their understanding of nutrition. The menu had only one item with protein in it, and that was a trace of black beans in a lettuce based salad. I commend their effort, but ask that they consult a nutritionist, or at least... More
