Very nice place!

We stumbled on this place and were pleasantly surprised! Very nice atmosphere and better than typical bar & grill food! Interesting salads, yet very well prepared burgers too! Overall a nice variety!

We were seated in a smaller room with a fireplace and there were TVs with the Iowa State football game on. What a perfect setting for a lovely dinner with my husband and I visiting our daughter (and boyfriend) who attend Iowa State. The food was really good. I would definitely go back to eat there again next time we're... More

The ' Upper Deck ' , on their new building , was Ambiance Personified ! Fire Pits , couches to socialize , separate bar upstairs ! The downstairs bar area had a nice mix of Age Groups AND plenty of ' Sports Bar ' memorabilia & Big Screen T.V.'s ! One day I had for appetizers , Spinach - Artichoke... More

This upscale sports pub is filled w/ sports memorabilia, including singed jerseys, pictures, etc... of famous Ames alumni Fred Hoiberg, Harrison Barnes, and Doug McDermott along with other Iowa State players and gear. This multi level pub has plenty of TV's, including individual units located at your booth, so you don't miss a single play of any game you may... More

Went to Wallaby's as a family while visiting my son at Iowa State. It was a great getaway from the college atmosphere. I had the fish taco's and they were the best I have ever had. Even the side of chips and bean dip that came with it was so delicious! My son had the fish and chips. He ate... More

The wait was long but we ended upstairs. Our food was good as expected. I had the pork tenderloin sandwich which was really tasty. My husband had the patty melt which is his usual. Will most definitely go there again.

This is a family favorite but I had not been to their new location until June. It is as wonderful as ever. Very good food, huge bar, nice overlooking balcony.

After 3 visits, and three different selections, all I can say is that the hype doesn't measure up to the reality.

Some places make it all about the food and forget about the rest. Wallaby's has good food and friendly staff. They have good divided eating areas for couples and quiet conversation, an open area in the bar for a more bar feeling and an upstairs patio that is mostly covered but open and breezy layed out a little like a... I had my wedding reception here. All the workers were super friendly. Everyone went out of their way to make sure my guests were helped.
