Always try to eat here at least once when I'm in Ames, and I'm never disappointed. Everything on the menu is good, prices are reasonable and the staff friendly. Can't wait to see their new location this fall!

Noticed this as we were perusing the campus area and thought we would give it a try. Expected a basic sports bar menu, but it was much bigger than that with a wide variety of items to choose. Service was very friendly, the atmosphere was nice, not so loud as one would expect at a sports bar. We were delighted... More

Nice spot to watch a couple of games. Good wait staff and the food was very good. Not a very large beer selection, but the bartender made a good recommendation.

A local sports bar and one of the best I've ever been in as far as food.Interesting selections besides normal bar food. Very tasty food. A small TV in every booth. Excellent service.

Our family (10 of us) went to Wallaby's on a chilly Saturday evening. We were seated on the "patio" which was fully enclosed, big screen tv's to watch the games, and overhead heaters similar to what you find at ski resorts. Very comfortable even though very cold outside. We had burgers, soup and salad, etc. All was very good. Our... More

Great food and lots to choose from on their menu. Every both has its own TV so you can watch what you want. But, if you don't have a booth, you can check out the big game on the numerous big screen TV's around the restaurant. Want a great dessert? Order a slice of one of their Wally pies, which... More

The menu didn't have many choices. We did have the wings and they weren't bad. The service was nothing to brag about.

When we go out to eat, we almost always try to eat at local places. Wallaby's is an Ames staple, and for good reason. It is just a good place to eat. Friendly people, sports bar type place, but a little more upscale. A little more pricey than your average sports bar, but very worth it. Try the cheese fries...... More
