Nice place that lost its way. The menu is eclectic--in a bad way. From the Shepard's pie to the way too thin corned beef. The corned beef is thin (read dry) and the cabbage is overcooked. How do you mess this Irish classic up??

All the time I have been staying at the hotel just a few steps away and did not know about this place! Great lively atmosphere that does lend itself to being in the Old World. I had the lamb stew with soda cracker and it was rather tasty, so much so I wish the serving was a little more generous.... More

While the menu got pared down recently, it still has some very nice items on it. There is a cheese ball appetizer that is excellent, for instance. The size of golf balls, the cheese is mixed with leeks before deep frying. Not to be missed.

I have been to Dublin Bay many times and expect to continue into the future. This restaurant/bar has a unique setup and very interesting decorations linking it to Dublin, Ireland. They offer unique specialty beers with good body and flavor, as well as great ethnic food. Extremely good and different cheese balls. I strongly suggest this eating location for anyone... More

This is one of our favorite places to go out to eat in Ames. The food is varied and very good. Service is friendly and relatively fast. Many beverage choices for whatever mood you are in. My husband will tell you it is cold so have a sweater or jacket.

We have been here off and on for more than 5 years now. Thr food and service have declined rapidly. This last time was not good at all. The black and tans were delivered burnt swimming in grease. I had the fish and chips. The chips were also burnt and the fish was mushy not crispy beer battered. My husband... More

While I was a little disappointed in this restaurant, but I would go back again to try something else. My friend had the shepherd's pie and it was so peppery she couldn't eat it. I had the corned beef and cabbage and the cabbage was a little peppery, but still good. The corned beef serving was massive. I brought home... More

Top five billing in Ames Iowa completely justified. Easy to get to, good parking, a little dark inside, but that's part of the ambience. Food outstanding; wonderful, new flavors for us to try; helpful, pleasant, knowledgeable waiter to help us through the intricacies of menu items and later to chase after us to bring a sweater we had left behind.... We went here on the recommendation of the staff at our hotel, and got a big kick out of the atmosphere and menu. So many fun British appetizers and entrees to try, and the beer menu was really extensive as well! I had the fish and chips which was really nicely prepared, and my son had the reuben which was...
