Good Irish food and Pleasant stop for lunch

We visited here for lunch while traveling through Ames Iowa. They had a nice outdoor patio that had shade umbrella's. My wife and I both had Irish dishes, fish and chips and cabbage & corned beef. Both were good, but not the best Irish dishes we have had. The prices was reasonable and the service... read more

We stopped on our way home from Des Moines to Minnesota for lunch. The exterior has old world charm with rusted bikes with baskets arranged out front. Inside, it's dark with Irish music playing and has an Irish Pub feel to it. Waiter was very good- I asked for his opinion when trying to decide between two menu options- he... More

Stopped in for lunch on our trip from Minnesota to Texas . Loved the shepherd's pie! Couldn't drink the beer, but had a great selection. Great atmosphere. Great find.

We miss Ireland now and then and, when we do, one of the places we go is Dublin Bay. Although it's quite a bit larger than a typical Irish pub, it has that feel. Aside from the atmosphere, the food, both American and Irish, is always good (even my 92 year old mother likes it!) and the service outstanding.

Great menu, delicious food. The Boxty items on the menu are to die for. The corned beef boxty is yummy!

Nice pub feel, good beers, good food. Reasonably priced. It was hard to choose between the various boxties, Shepherd pie, lamb stew or fish and chips.

Went for lunch on a Sunday. Neat atmosphere. Restaurant has sections to it so you're not sitting in one big room. Cozy. Food was good with a nice menu selection. Lots of traditional Irish dishes. Also a nice selection of beers. Bar area also looked to be a nice place to sit. Does have outside seating. Friendly wait staff.

The last time I went to Dublin Bay, it was late at night, so take this with a grain of salt. The service was less than impressive, but the food was pretty good. I like their unique take on fried breading.

What a fun restaurant to find near Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa! I had the pleasure to two times during a weekend visit to see my cousin and everything was great! Our first visit was on a very busy Friday in a college town with a group that included three children under 7 years old. No problem! Food was... More
