We go for Sunday lunch now and then. Good place for a large group. The menus in the bar area is different and we prefer that area/

My absolute favorite place in Ames. The food is great and the staff is always friendly and do a great job. I work at a hotel here in ames and send a bunch of our guests here when they ask for restaurant suggestions, every single one has come back saying they love this place. If you haven't been here yet... More

Very good bar food with a nice selection of unique Irish draft beers to try out. Our server Ciara was helpful and offered to give us a couple of samples which we appreciated.

We love to come to Dublin Bay! The food is great and our favorite waitress al ways checks by our table, whether she has our table or not...it is like coming to see friends. They make a killer Irish coffee and the Wallaby's fish and chips are really good!

Food was decent, old fashion Irish. Drink menu was nice, lots of non standard drink options. Service was a little lacking. Restaurant was a little crowded and very loud.

This Irish Restuarant is a must visit when dining out in Ames. Every time we come to Ames we eat here and every time it is great!! From the various beers to the traditional Irish fare you can't go wrong! My husband and I both love it....our daughter, who doesn't care if we have Irish food either has fish or... More

Nice place that lost its way. The menu is eclectic--in a bad way. From the Shepard's pie to the way too thin corned beef. The corned beef is thin (read dry) and the cabbage is overcooked. How do you mess this Irish classic up??

All the time I have been staying at the hotel just a few steps away and did not know about this place! Great lively atmosphere that does lend itself to being in the Old World. I had the lamb stew with soda cracker and it was rather tasty, so much so I wish the serving was a little more generous.... More

While the menu got pared down recently, it still has some very nice items on it. There is a cheese ball appetizer that is excellent, for instance. The size of golf balls, the cheese is mixed with leeks before deep frying. Not to be missed.
