This is an excellent locally owned business in Ames Iowa. We go there throughout the year, but we really try to there for St. Patrick's day, lots of Irish heritage on display.

Shepherd's pie is wonderful, staff is quite friendly, atmosphere is trendy and clientele seems to be quite upscale. Good for both lunch and dinner.

We stopped on our way home from Des Moines to Minnesota for lunch. The exterior has old world charm with rusted bikes with baskets arranged out front. Inside, it's dark with Irish music playing and has an Irish Pub feel to it. Waiter was very good- I asked for his opinion when trying to decide between two menu options- he... More

Stopped in for lunch on our trip from Minnesota to Texas . Loved the shepherd's pie! Couldn't drink the beer, but had a great selection. Great atmosphere. Great find.

We miss Ireland now and then and, when we do, one of the places we go is Dublin Bay. Although it's quite a bit larger than a typical Irish pub, it has that feel. Aside from the atmosphere, the food, both American and Irish, is always good (even my 92 year old mother likes it!) and the service outstanding.

We visited here for lunch while traveling through Ames Iowa. They had a nice outdoor patio that had shade umbrella's. My wife and I both had Irish dishes, fish and chips and cabbage & corned beef. Both were good, but not the best Irish dishes we have had. The prices was reasonable and the service was good

Great menu, delicious food. The Boxty items on the menu are to die for. The corned beef boxty is yummy!
