Great Homemade flavors

We were hungry on a Thursday night and decided to check out the Ox Yoke Inn. Very old world German charm; and the food was well prepared. I had the smoked pork chop meal and it was very tasty and filling. My companion had the chicken and spaetzel ...very good stuff. They have quite the Biergarten... read more

While visiting Amana, we stopped in for a good traditional, home style cooked lunch! The service was pleasant, the food was delicious and I are way more than needed! Highly recommended 👍

Very good food. We had the roast beef dinner. The beef was so tender it melted in your mouth. We ordered the pickled beets and deep fried pickle as appetizers, yummy! Very happy with food, portions, and service. Highly recommended this restaurant.

Our food was delicious. After a 20 minute wait, we got seated and immediately ordered our dinner as well as our drinks. Our drinks never got refilled, table got cleared 15 minutes after we finished eating, and we waited forever for our dessert. A good restaurant, but they need to order more wait staff!

If you have two evenings in Amana go here one night. But be sure you go next door the other night. Nothing wrong with this place. Food was good, although service was slow. Atmosphere is not as intense as next door. Great and inexpensive restaurant.

we arrived early for our reservation and were ushered to a dark back room for a drink--not too promising. But at dinner time a different story. Our large party was seated at one long table, and the food just kept coming, and such food. Weiner schnitzel, sauerbraten, chicken in abundance, along with some of the best side dishes I've ever... I have to admit that this was my favorite restaurant as a child growing up. I loved going upstairs to look at the antiques and at Yokey the Bear. I enjoyed the family style dinners with my grandparents, parents, aunt and uncle, brothers and cousins. I hadn't been to the Amanas or to this restaurant for over 30 years. I... More

Good and 'pretty authentic' German Food served in a very clean establishment. The wait staff could use some polishing though!

We stopped here on our way out of Amana. So glad we did! The cinnamon rolls were great! They also had a sweet roll with nuts on top and that was unbelievable! Get something sweet here. You'll be glad you did!
