Great food!

Enjoyed our meal. Only disappointment was the rolls didn't taste home made. But everything else was great. We were there on a Monday night so it wasn't too crowded. Our waiter wasn't too friendly but he was pleasant enough.

Ox Yoke Inn has been in business since 1940 and has become a favorite with us. If we didn't live 1200 miles away we would be there much more often. Today was our second visit and was even better than the first. Last time we visited was on a weekend and they were very busy. Today was a weekday and... More

Very good food. Nice menu selection, including German items. Can choose either plated or serves family style. Manager came to table asking how dinner was. Highly recommend

Good basic dining in the spirit of the Amana Colonies. Simple food done well in the German style. If you have a big appetite or a lot of people to feed- you can order 'family style' That is: main and side dishes are brought to your table in bowls and on platters and everybody serves themselves. Feeds 4-6.

Wonderful food. Everything is served family style, so all sides dishes are refillable! Everything is homemade and fresh; your tastebuds will notice!

Last visit was last spring and is among scores of visits for more than forty years. Focusing on last spring, I was promptly seated by the hostess. Waitress was quick to take my drink order and food. Food was fresh and hot. You can order family style or not. Besides your choice of main courses which are in a German... More

The Sunday morning brunch was very good! The selections were breakfast items and lunch items and made to order omelets. Oh-and the dessert items were many and varied. The waitress was very attentive and even kept track of the omelet and brought it to our table when ready. Everything was so tasty and expeditious that it was a real struggle... More

Went with family and very disappointed. Draft beer is good food is good. Service really bad. Had a large group (14) but we asked for 12. Some people arrived early and they would not seat them because our ENTIRE group was not here. They said it was due to the difference between 12 and 14? Really? They couldn't add 2... More
