Steak adequate, macaroni salad adequate. Martini-small. I was the only customer in this huge restaurant. I can see why. I did not try the German entrees asI had been burned previously plus I wanted some beef to take back for my dog. This is the only place can remember in eons that actually pan grilled the steak. Who does this... More

We have breakfast here every year when we visit in February. The waiters are always SO friendly and the family style breakfast is outstanding. Home made sausage from the Meat market is great but the pancakes keep us coming back. We bought our usual 4 bags of pancake mix that will run out before our next visit....great value

I grew up coming to the Colony inn and have continued the tradition with my own family. After my last visit being over a year ago, I decided to take the more than 30 minute one way trip for a Nice Saturday evening meal. Upon arrival we were greeted and promptly seated. Once seated we couldn't help but notice the... More

We found our dinner to be only average or below. My steak was good, however the sides are all canned. Canned corn, canned beans, instant gravy. While they do give you a lot and serve family style at your table, who really wants that much canned food? Prices are fine for the amount of food you get, but for us,... More

i ate here as a kid, so looked forward to eating here on our trip....Lots of food, however seemed very expensive especially for kids meals...although you do get refills I think...however waitress could have been a little more helpful on suggestions.

The Colony Inn was a long standing tradition with our family...it was our go to favorite place for dine out. We took out of town visitors there, celebrated holidays & special occasions there. We drove 30 miles each way on the average of once every other month to eat dinner there...more so when my son's were young because it was... More

We good free breakfast vouchers to the Colony from out hotel. We were extremely pleased with the quality of the breakfast and the service. A nice relaxed way to start out each day. Had we been paying for this it would have been a great value.

We were there 9/22/12 about 1:15p.m. Not an overly friendly hostess greeted us after 2 or 3 minutes and we were told there would be a 15 min. wait. We couldn't understand why as we saw many empty tables in the place. After visiting with ourselves and others waiting, the hostess finally said that waitresses were behind because 1 called... More

We were in Amana for a few days and tried the three restaurants in town, overall we found the Colony Inn to be the best. We were there for lunch, got seated quickly and our server was there for our drink orders, and when ready took our lunch orders. The food was very good, we were served family style the... More
