Great for the solo traveler

I bellied up to the bar with the locals, and had a lovely meal - Bavarian Chicken - among the many family style diners. If time allows I will go back for the Broasted Chicken. (the Catfish Special seemed to be a favorite among the locals!)

Another good Amana restaurant, food was very good, you can get a plate lunch or family style. With the plate lunch we had great potatoes, coleslaw and a vegetable. service was very good.

My meal: smoked pork chop with baked apples, pan-fried potatoes, fresh green beans in some yummy sauce and perfectly zingy-but-not-overly tart coleslaw and sauerkraut (which I've never liked) that didn't taste like vinegar; mom and grandma shared the chicken schnitzel, which came with the same sides. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. That smoked pork chop was unlike anything I've... More

We had a wonderful lunch and dinner during our stay. Authentic German food, wonderful desserts and friendly, attentive staff.

I have been going to the Ronneburg for years, and have always been impressed by the great German food (especially love the Sauerbraten), and great service we get there. Our server was sweet, just attentive enough, and very friendly. Dessert was awesome, too.

Whenever I go to Amana Colonies or just passing through, I have to eat at the Ronneburg! It is a very large building, so don't be put off by the full parking lot. We've never had to wait for a table. They feature wine from local wineries which is excellent if you like fruit wines, which I do! They also... More

We took our foreign exchange student from Germany and her father to the Ronneburg Restaurant. They were pleased to see the food choices and were delighted to explain to us the different types of foods. We all thought everything was delicious and the waitress was very efficient and friendly. We would be pleased to return to this restaurant.

This restaurant serves delicious food family style. We thought we had a choice of sides but they brought all of them! Everything was delicious. They are very accommodating letting you share a large entree (we were vacationing so couldn't take leftovers). Will definitely stop here again when in Amana!

The food at the Ronneburg was excellent. I ordered the Wienerschnitzel. The menu says it is served family style. I was first served an array of different foods including pickled beets, a tasty coleslaw made with broccoli rather than cabbage. It was so good that told l my wife that I would eat that broccoli any time (I've never particularly... More
