good family restaurant

Nothing super fancy, but very laid back and casual place. My husband and I dined there specifically for breakfast and ordered pancakes and omelettes from the menu. If we were more hungry, we probably would have ordered the all you can eat family style. The pancakes were a little different -- flat... read more

We usually go to the Ox Yoke next door but decided to come to the Ronnenburg because of the good reviews on Trip Advisor, which we follow closely when we visit different places. Home cooked? No. Try out a package...everything! Vegetables were canned, potatoes tasted instant, gravy from a package. The only thing that was good was the cottage cheese... More

This is our third or fourth time at The Ronneburg in the past few years and the food never disappoints. Friendly staff are helpful and pleasant. The food along with the sides are fantastic. Wish I had room for the pie.

Since we discovered this incredible restaurant in October, I think we've been there a couple of times every month since! We love it!! We've eaten lunch and dinner there so far...breakfast is our next mission! Although I'm Italian and my husband is Irish, we can appreciate the German heritage and amazing menu options. We thoroughly enjoy the family style option... More

They start with great quality fresh ingredients and treat you to time proven German recipes. Prices are so reasonable I thought they should be higher. Exceptional value. I ordered a main plate then went to pick one side order item and the waitress said, "you get all of them". WOW....Cottage cheese, Corn, Sauerkraut, Gravy, thin sliced fried Potatoes, candied Beets,... More

Make sure you make a reservation, or go early. This is a huge place but it is also very busy. Don't miss visiting here. The food was fabulous. It had the choice of family style or plate dinners. Wait staff was friendly and good. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

This is our favorite place to eat in Amana and there are a number of excellent places to eat. We had lunch and dinner at the Ronneburg on 12/4/2015.

We had oven steak dinner with the usual home made bread and the usual multiple bowls of sides and pie for desert.

Winter storm came through so restaurants opened late this morning in Amana. Hadn't been to the Ronneburg for a few years so decided to try it again. We're informed the cook would not cook omelets, so we decided to order pancakes. Also had some fried potatoes (not seasoned).Pancakes were weird. Not pancakes at all, but came out looking more like... More

Yana and her staff provide a great meal. If you want something a little lighter, try the tenderloin. I get the tenderloin a lot. I have several groups that meet there regularly. Always treated great.
