Yummy

Great service, was busy, but dinner came fairly quick.. And hot. Great German and American food. Served plated or for a few dollars more- family style.

Having grown up in Germany, I've eaten my fair share of schnitzel and spaetzle. Amana is a Germanic town, many of its residents still speak German. Given its heavy German background, I anticipated that the food would be good. It was not. The schnitzel itself was good. Iowans make a pretty good breaded pork tenderloin anyways so schnitzel isn't too... More

Every restaurant jacks up their buffet cost on Mother's Day, and this place is no exception. The food was very average but there was plenty of it.The hostess was in the process of losing her mind when we arrived. She was snapping on people left and right. The waitress provided good service and was around frequently to freshen up drinks... More

From the moment we walked in the door everything was perfect! Our waitress was very friendly and knowlegeable. Beer was great! Food was even better. You won't be disappointed!

We just ordered a meal off the menu but they did offer family style breakfast that seemed to go over very well. I had the omelet and it tasted like fresh ham inside. The rhubarb/strawberry jam was homemade and delicious. It was German themed inside with the decor, very nice.

May 10 Mother's Day special family style. Fabulous food and dessert. Service was great and attentive. This was our first time in Amana and was not disappointed.

We ate at Ronneburg later on a Friday night during Maifest. We missed the dinner crowd and enjoyed a quite seat in the large dining room. The food was very good. The highights: the jager snitzel, the fried potatoes and gravy. The mediocre--the cold spatzel. We didn't realize what 'family style' means. Basically, you pick a main entree and then... More

We were visiting Amana and this restaurant was highly recommended. We ate dinner here and were impressed with the yummy German style food. We had chicken, green beans, potatoes, and bread. We were too full for dessert, but decided to return the next day. We came back the next morning and ordered apple pie alamode, plus it was warmed up!... More

Stopped for an early dinner after golfing on a friday. Had a great 10 oz steak and a rouladin special. Both good, plus a nice side of crisp fried potatoes and a homemade slaw. Loved the historic aspect that this place used to be the communal kitchen for the town. Good home cooked food and nice beer selection from the... More

You know its a good meal when you remember it a year later! We were starved and couldn't find a fast food place open, but we lucked out and found the Ronneburg with no lines to get in. Its a pretty place, with pictures from the early days of the Inn. The star of the show is the food! Its... More
