MUST EAT HERE

Eat breakfast here and have the pancakes. You will love them! Make sure to add the fruit to it, as well. You will never forget it.

We always go here when visiting the Amana Colonies and enjoy their service and food. The family style menu is the only way to go.

Loved the setting, menu was traditional and very savory , the side dishes of cottage cheese, pickled beets, coleslaw , mashed potatoes, and local breads. Best sausage, beef and chicken schnitzel . Well priced, great service and friendly staff. Def go back!

Amana is an interesting place and this restausrants tries to represent traditional (German style) Amana food. Unfortunaltely is like a copy of another similar style restaurant nearby. The food in not German at all and the Wiener schnitzel has nothing to do with a real Wiener schnitzel - is was small, soft and wet. The service was friendly, the restaurant... More

If you know German food and come here expecting to get it, you will be disappointed. I rated them average because the service was good and the staff was very friendly. The food was in no way "German-style." The bread and butter were good, but the Wiener Schnitzel was made of near-tastless chopped veal, the fried potatoes were limp, and... More

We ate here for lunch on Easter Sunday. Roasted chicken was good, baked swiss steak was too as well as the ham. The green beans were in mushroom sauce and the broccoli salad was fantastic. We'd go back another time during the week.

Our lunch party of four had the sauerbraten and the chicken and weinerschnitzel. The accompanying cole slaw was delicious--creamy and crunchy but not sweet--perfect. The service was very pleasant and smooth. The homemade bread is a treat, and if we'd had a dessert stomach, we would certainly have ordered a slice of pie. Well done Ronneburg.

I was traveling on business. The owners of the B&B I was staying at recommended coming here. Since it was a weekday during the off season I was the only one in the dining part of the restaurant. The server was very attentive. The food was really good but a bit heavier than I usually eat. It was nice to... More

We have dined at Ronnenburg several times over the years and decided to come home from Cedar Rapids via Highway 151 just so we could dine there on the way. The food is always good and the staff attentive. Usually on Sundays they serve mashed potatoes and fried potatoes are served during the week. We were actually excited to hear... More
