Fun place and Irish food!

A good Irish restaurant that serves a good selection of Irish dishes. Fun decorating and good staff. A definite place for either an informal lunch or dinner. We hosted a Friday night supper for 50 out of town guests before a wedding the next day. We wanted a nice, relaxed supper and Joanne the banquet manager helped us achieve that. We had a simple menu with one or two additions, and we were given a guide for the bar bill which was right on the mark. It... More

Inside of this joint reeked of bad cheese. The outside was better and it overlooked the Fox River. Only came for drinks: $12.50 Gibson Up, outrageous! Large collection of beers. Beware of the mice who use the railings as their interstate.

We went to Ballydoyle on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. The food was decent, the servers are dressed pretty skanky, so I wouldn't bring kids here, but they were nice and efficient. I love that Ballydoyle hosts the School of Rock kids, but we weren't expecting it during our lunch. It was extremely loud in there, so I... More

Today I had lunch in this city of 200k and found that it was great. They offer lunch specials at reasonable prices. Aurora has fast food and other restaurants but NOTHING for a business lunch whatsoever. At first I went to the nearby casino, and the buffet was closed. So, I walked to Ballydoyle and was very impressed. The service... More

We went for lunch and parked a couple blocks away. The walk there was gorgeous, along the Fox river, and then we walked in to the pub. Lovely atmosphere, and a warm welcome. We were nearly alone when we went in, but it filled up quickly. It was lunch time ... we truly enjoyed the fairly quiet Irish music playing... More

I had the best Reuben ever! Huge beer and whiskey list . Great staff, had a bend over backwards waiter named Dale. Interesting decor. Would like to return some evening for the live music and Irish dance. Discovered Crabby's ginger beer-good stuff!!!

First time eating here. Staying in town during our trip to Chicago. Outside is eye catching, kinda cool off of the river, inside is not fancy, food was ok, but service lacked a bit. Took awhile to get our drinks, 2 beers and 4 waters, nothing too labor intensive there, but it could have been the fact that the bartender... More

We just had our daughter's wedding reception here and it was really very nice! The event coordinator, Joanne, was super helpful throughout the entire planning process. The food was delicious and the room we had the reception in was perfect for our 65 guests. We had two servers to serve our guests drinks and they did a fantastic job. Our... More

The food is excellent, many choices for group events, good music venue, plus outdoor seating on the Fox River! What more could you ask for? PLUS great downtown Aurora location
