Had lunch there recently. Food is similar (meaning good) to other offerings at Portillo's chain, but presented in a higher quality setting: rustic Italian environment, fireplace, white tablecloths, booths with drapes. Fresh bread and dipping olive oil brought to the table while we waited. Waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable. Lunch was served promptly and portions were quite large.

We have been there three times. The food is good and the atmosphere is wonderful. The first time was the best.

Been there several times and recently hosted a family style dinner for 12. Christine arranged it and couldn't have been more helpful, we all had a wonderful time and the food was terrific! Everyone raved about the service and the meal. Went back the following week with out of town guests and they too were impressed. It's not pretentious but... More

Had lunch there for the 2nd time now. Love this place! There is plenty of parking, and the restaurant is lots bigger than it looks from the outside. There is a large piano bar, and several other rooms of varying sizes, one with a fireplace. The idea is that you are visiting a house in Italy. My friend and I... More

My family and I have been going here for years but as of the last two or three years the overall experience has gone down hill. Each time we go back in hopes of changes for the better, we are disappointed. The staff are not the problem. They are great. It is the quality of the food and the cleanliness... More

We were in Chicago and randomly stopped at this restaurant and I am so glad we did. The drinks and food were amazing. The staff was very helpful and recommended their favorites. I had a seafood linguini in red sauce and the sauce was very light and like nothing I've had before. The bread was delicious. The environment is one... More

The lasagna was great. The ambiance is like a little Italian bistro. We will definitely be back again for the food.

My wife have been visiting Luigi's since they opened. Not a huge menu, but what they make is excellent. I recommend going for lunch. You will find it relatively quiet and peaceful, and with the comfortable and homey decorations it makes for a relaxing meal. We like to go in winter and get a table by the fireplace. Service is... We have eaten here many times over the years. They make their pasta fresh daily. They always have great service. This time we sat outside. (we had never known they had outdoor seating) Our meal was perfect and sooooo good. The bruschetta was so good as was the homemade ravioli. They also have very good spaghetti and meatballs but we... Wife and I enjoyed our late lunch after a day of shopping in the Fox Valley Mall area. Portions are large so you might want to split a dish if your not a big eater. Lay out is nice and cozy. On weekends Julian's Bar has entertainment in this well set up lounge. Great Service! Nice Menu!
