Great home cooked style food

I have never had a soup I didn't like! They all taste wonderful just like my grandmother use to make! Also Great crepes, chicken fingers and corn beef and cabbage come St Patrick's day.

Family owned and operated restaurant. Good food at reasonable prices. Their omelettes are light and fluffy. A great place for family breakfasts . It can be crowded on Sunday mornings.

Great food at a good price and gluten free options available for my kids. Parking garage right across the street is convenient.

We've been eating at the family owned Uptown Cafe for nearly 30 years. Everything on the ample menu is made fresh daily onsite. Prices are reasonable and portions are very generous.Love the breakfast choices, especially the skillets and Crepes (breakfast is available all day). Soups are homemade and some of the best I've ever eaten (soup is included with most... More

Co-workers brought me here. Nice place and we seemed to miss lunch rush. Prompt and solid service. I went for breakfast and had plenty of choices. Ordered the country skillet which was a good proportion, fresh potatoes, well seasoned sausage, and flowing coffee. I'll be back when in area. Per card open 6:00AM to 3:00 PM

This restaurant's menu has so many choices, including many fresh and healthy options, which is usually lacking at breakfast restaurants. I had a hard time choosing between all of the egg-white omelet options and the many veggie combinations they offer. Everything was great, including the service. On our next visit to AH, we will be back!!

Uptown is close to my residence and convenient in that way. However, if I were to move I would have to come back. It is family-owned and operated and has that atmosphere. The service is wonderful and the menu has plenty to choose from. Great for breakfast but can get packed. The wait is never long though, ~10 minutes.

I really like the portion size of food on the plate. It is always very fresh. The place is always packed, so I can't tell you when the best time to get there is. Esp. on the weekends. I frequent this place often and have never had a bad experience.

It's good diner food here, but nothing to go out of your way for. If you're in the neighborhood, stop by....especially if you can't get into Egg Harbor.
