The entries are a bit different than typical Mexican food. The food is very fresh and portions are good. The service is also good even though they were very crowed. It can get very crowed and noisy during the evening dinner rush. It is a nice place to sit and enjoy the surroundings as you feel you are in a... More

Went for dinner with friends. Dinner was OK. I had a steak with poblano mole sauce. The sauce was sweet, with a heavy hand on the cinnamon. Not my preference at all. The table side guacamole was outstanding! I will go back just for that! The salsa was made for Midwesterners. It was smok, but no heat at all.

Love the table salsa. Guacamole is a must have. Entrees are really good. Good selection on menu and you will not be disappointed. Right in downtown Arlington Heights. Parking in the streets is easy to find for free. Nice decor and clean. Open windows in the summer is a nice touch

I've been to this location a few times. My first time visit was for business, the other visits were again for business and then with friends. I obviously feel that this place is decent since my first time visit. Impressive was the tableside guacamole and their mole sauce. Then, brought a friend here for their first-time experience - and they... More

We have enjoyed a great food experience here. There is enough variety of uncommon dishes to experience and they are all wonderful.

This restaurant is in downtown Arlington Heights, close to the Metropolis. The restaurant is narrow with outdoor seating and a rather large bar area. It gets very crowded, so reservations are recommended. Guacamole is made fresh tableside. The salsa (made with roasted tomatoes) is great as are the chips. We had the fajita and the tampiquena, which were both outstanding.... More

Our appetizer was absolutely delicious but as soon as the entrees came i noticed my plate had some crusty dirty substance on it, with a gritty texture. Called the manager over and very unapologetically she said " i don't believe that is dirt but whatever". I mean, obvioulsy it was not real dirt, it was probably left over food that... More

Salsa 17 is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the north suburbs. The atmosphere is authentic, the service is tremendous, the food is exceptionally tasty, the menu vast and the homemade roasted salsa is the best ever!! Portions are generous as we usually get two meals out of one dinner. Best by far is the homemade salsa made with roasted vegetables... More
