My Mexican cuisine experience has been for most part a disappointment. I m from the Phoenix area where they have very good Mexican restaurant , plus have friends from that country that are very good country. Also been in a fan of their mole, and have the opportunity to visit Oaxaca the birthplace of mole makes difficult for me to... More

This was the fourth time I've been to Salsa17. I wasn't impressed the past times, but an out of town friend wanted to try it. The free salsa and freshly cooked chips are fabulous. My friend had the Camarones al Ajillo (sautéed shrimp served with chipotle mashed potatoes ($19.95). was a generous serving of large gulf shrimp nicely prepared. I... More

This was the best Mexican food I have had outside of Mexico. The staff was wonderful, the atmosphere lively and the food was warm and flavorful.

After a very disappointing meal at the other Mexican restaurant in Arlington Heights, we were reluctant to try Salsa 17, but were glad that we did. The fish tacos were excellent, and my friend said her chicken burrito (which was huge) was also very good. Service was great - our waiter noticed I was using the salsa to top my... More

I am from the Northwest suburbs and frequently dine in the downtown Arlington Heights area. Some of my favorite Suburban restaurants are located in this cute downtown like La Tasca, Carlos & Carlos and Harry's to name a few. I've actually been to this location, when it was under a different name. Regardless, myself and two of my lifelong friends... More

Mole - some Mexican restaurants have them, some do not. I am a firm believer that you can determine the quality of a Mexican restaurant by the quality of their Mole. If that's how you also feel, then Salsa 17 is the place you must go to,. It was my third week in Schaumburg for business , travelling with the... More

The La Azul margarita is great, so was the pork tenderloin. Always good food and gray service. Be prepared with reservations or to wake for a table on a Friday or Saturday night.

I'll start with a compliment for this restaurant...the food was pretty good, not exceptional, but good. Which makes me wonder why the heck we had to wait 25 minutes for a table. And there was your compliment! The sound level here was off.the.charts! Could barely hear my girlfriend, and she was only sitting across the table from me. The service... More

We opted for Salsa 17 because they were able to seat us right away on a Saturday night around 7:30. That should have been our first clue. The decor is nice and I liked the open windows (screened though) that reminded me of a restaurant in Mexico. Our server was attentive but not real knowledgeable about the menu. That was... More
