I had breakfast here when I was staying at the Double Tree and got a buffet coupon. It was ok, but I would prefer to order off the menu.

I was attending a seminar at the Doubletree in Arlington Heights and in the interest of time and convenience I opted for the in-hotel restaurant. The bar area features many comfortable arm chairs and couches, as well as a large stone fireplace. It looked to be an excellent place to unwind. The lunch menu features a variety of salads, sandwiches... More

Staying across the street at the Marriott we tried the Grill for a light supper. Order a Cosmo and a Manhattan. My wife is quite particular about her Cosmos and like this one very much. Manhattan was spot on, also. We shared a thin, crispy 12inch pizza and the baby wedge salad. Pizza was flavorful and not greasy. Baby wedge... More

Was part of a group that had a welcome reception in the restaurant. Loved the ambience and the fireplace. Good presentation and flavourful food, with a good Had breakfast twice as a hotel resident. Good spread, but the menu was the same on both days. Services were quick and attentive.

I visited Birch River Grill because I was staying at the Double Tree and was feeling lazy. I sat at the bar and was impressed with the service from the bartender Jose. He was very attentive to everyone and could remember people's drinks during a busy happy hour. The food was okay. I had the ribs and was a little... More

This nice restaurant just off the Double Tree Hotel is not getting much traffic but the food and service deserve a bigger crowd. We started with the onion and apple soup which was hot, had great melted cheese and a nice sweet onion and apple broth. The menu is limited but I had a very nice Rueben with pub chips.... More

Never tried the regular menu. At dinnertime I saw no other diners and decided to go elsewhere for dinner

Good service, nice atmosphere, great food. I have eaten here four times. Three times for breakfast, once for dinner. The breakfast buffet is excellent!

Brunch Sunday was very good at Birch River Grill. We have dined their several times in the past which is why we keep coming back. The servers are very friendly. Food selection was more than adequit. Obviously the peel and eat shrimp was the most popular item. The Talapia was excellent. How many days again until Easter?
