I was surprised to find a restaurant in Arlington Heights that cuts their own steaks and displays fresh meat and fish in a cooler in the lobby. The prices are reasonable and food portions are HUGE! They have a full bar where locals and visitors alike hang out after work. This is not what I would call an upscale restaurant,... More

We were surprisingly disappointed with the experience we had here. We went with about seven others (10 in total). The service was unprofessional and slow. The food was avaerage at best and no one inthe place seemed to care. The servers clearly acted like they did not want to be there and when the food came out over cooked, it... More

We tried the Goose Island root beer. Delicious. A warm, fresh loaf of bread was delivered to the table. Our server brought a second loaf when we finished our first one. The shrimp cocktail was fresh, the shrimp were large and succulent. The baked onion soup was loaded with cheese. The steaks were prepared to perfection. The entrée included a... More

We went out for dinner without making previouse plans. I had steak but everyone else had hamburgers. The portions were large everyone took home half of their hamburger. It has very family friendly dinning room and a comfortable bar with ESPN on the TVs. I would go back especially since everyone was happy with their meal.

Been eating great steaks here for twenty plus years. You'd have to spend a heckuva lot more to get more.

A polar opposite of our last great visit, last night's meal was pretty bad. Our server spoke with such a heavy accent and spoke so quickly that I could not understand her. The soup was chicken rice and was similar to what you would get at a greek diner - not homemade like the last time we had soup there.... More

Visited for a weeknight dinner while in town. The restaurant had a decent crowd for the night and I shortly found out why. Service was prompt and attentive and the food was worth the price which is very reasonable. I would come back again.

We were treated very well at Jameson's Char House. It was a great experience especially after having a streak of so-so meals at some other well respected "steakhouses" in other parts of the country. We met with out of town family a Jameson's, and the staff was so nice to make our stay and meal easy. The reservation was at... More

The server was fantastic, and took very good care of us without being a pest. The soup was delicious and homemade. The salad was fresh with excellent blue cheese dressing. The halibut was so delicious, and perfectly cooked. We will go back again and again.
