My wife and I found this place by accident. The name is Italian but being of Sicilian descent I am very critical of Italian restaurants. We enter and see olive oil on the table, always a good sign. Immediately, a bread basket appears; some hard crust bread and thick Sicilian bread with a smear of tomato and tomato sauce. Just... More

We've been going here with friends for years. The food is always fantastic with a "large enough" menu plus many specials to choose from. The prices are very reasonable and the service is impecable. Immediately walking in, the bar is on one side and the restaurant tables in front of you. It gives the feeling of being cramped, but they... More

I ate dinner with a friend on a Tuesday night. We were seated immediately - water and a bread basket arrived not long after - the focaccia bread was very good. I ordered the lamb shank special while my friend had the eggplant parmigiana. My lamb came with good roasted potatoes and a great veggie assortment - the only negative... More

We discovered Toscana about a year ago and now dine there about once a month. It's not the absolute best Italian food I've ever had but it's very good and reasonably priced. Sunday night our party of six had the Chicken Marsala, baked lasagna, chicken Parmesan, and chicken limone. Everyone was very happy with their dinners. Portions are generous and... More

My husband and extended family have eaten at Toscana many times with mixed results over the years. But tonight was an all time low. I don't think we'll return any time soon. II ordered Tilapia and was served a very small piece of fish covered with soupy spinach. My husband ordered pasta with a Bolognese sauce. It was salty, more... More

My mom told me about this restaurant, so we though we would give it a try. Friendly staff, who was willing to help you with any questions you had. Had a great bottle of wine which was inexpensive. Food was terrific. I had pasta and my girlfriend had chicken. Both were done just right. Will definitely be going back weekly!

A week ago, my wife and I went with another couple for dinner at Toscana's in Arlington Heights. I had Puttanesca Pasta. The pasta tasted very "chalky" and clumped together. Not at all a good meal. Then this past weekend, we again went to Toscana's with a group of neighbors. (This outing was planned well before my experience described in... More

Hi Phil, We'd like to apologize for the chalky pasta and the sub-par Chicken Vesuvio. We always aim to put out good food to our customers at good prices to create a great dining experience. It is unfortunate that these meals were not to your liking and hopefully if you return we can cook a much better meal for you.... More

We had a reservation for 5. The restaurant was extremely busy, every table taken. They brought 4 wooden chairs to the table, and a young man then brought a flimsy plastic folding chair for the 5th. I asked if that was all he had, he shrugged, and an adult brought another wooden chair. Not an auspicious start. We started with... More

Visited on Labor Day with a buy one dinner get one free coupon we just happened upon from the newspaper. We arrived at 5:15 to find a busy restaurant, 2 tables were available and we were seated immediately. Bread (delicious) delivered and water glasses filled within seconds. We were promptly greeted by our friendly server and each ordered a glass... More

While it is nice to see a non-chain restaurant doing well, I cannot endorse this place. First, the restaurant was very loud. I had to shout at my dinner companion, and even then was not always heard. Our server was very nice and friendly. Food came out really fast; not sure if this is a plus or minus. I had... More
