Amazing

By far the best Mexican restaurant in the area. Their mole sauce is the best I've ever had, 3 different types of salsa with the chips is also a nice twist. I always forget that most meals (possibly all of them) comes with a cup of soup.

Our service was awful. Restaurant was virtually empty and still took so long to order anything and at one point I was sitting with an empty drink for over 20 minutes. We actually witnessed one server yell at the bartender in front of customers. We ordered calamari, it came out undercooked and tasted like nothing... A manager kindly removed it... More

There are several Mexican restaurants in the northwest suburbs and even a few in Arlington Heights but Mago is the BEST by far. Mago has a combination of both Mexican and Latin influences in its cuisine. My husband, son and I recently enjoyed a dinner with appetizers and desert. Though Mago has the traditional appetizers you might expect at a... More

This is very upscale Mexican food. The chef at Mago comes up with some of the greatest Mexican creations I've ever tasted. When you first sit down they bring you chips with three types of salsa. The guacamole is made tableside and it is delicious. I am addicted to their shrimp tacos. The menu is a very nice collection of... More

The food is spectacular, really top notch Mexican food. Tremendous moles. Table side guacamole, 3 fabulous salsas served with crispy chips BUT the margaritas are terrible. Way too sweet. We sent them back twice but they kept coming back really sweet. We finally switched to beer. I've never been to a Mexican joint that swings from awesome food to horrendous... More

Visited Mago with my sister. We sat on the patio on a nice summer night. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. She was patient when I ordered a virgin cocktail that wasn't on the menu. The food and drink menus are fun and there is plenty to choose from. There are familiar Tex Mex dishes and a few more traditional... More

We were in town for only one night and we wanted a Mexican restaurant, but not a large chain. Our front desk clerk suggested Mago. We are SO glad he did. It is just a bit pricier than most Mexican restaurants of similar style, but you will not be disappointed. The food is fabulous, and they serve you plenty! Most... More

I live close by, hard to find good Mexican food when you are originally from Mexico! This place has great moles. If I go there for lunch I usually order enchiladas, but dinner always mole. Their salsas are delicious and margaritas are delicious. Ask for the "Maleficio" drink with cucumber and chilito!

This post is very important to read for those who have food allergies and go to eat at this restaurant. I requested vegan meal and the food arrived with cheese and sour cream on the side. Honest mistake! Things happen I understand, but when the food arrived back I found bits of cheese in it. Apparently the cooks just took... More

The food was delicious, authentic Mexican food with the right amount of spice to it. The drinks are the best! The staff was friendly. The sitting area is limited so I recommend calling ahead to make sure you get a table if you want to go in a group.
