Delicious!

We highly recommend Mago to anyone who is looking for authentic Mexican food! A group of 10 went and we all got different dishes - each more tasty than the next! From the table-side guac to the hand-made margatitas, this place will satisfy you. It's a little on the small side, so be sure to make... read more

We were visiting in the area recently and wanted Mexican for dinner. My daughter found this gem on trip advisor and we decided to give it a try. We didn't have a reservation - it was only a Tuesday night after all - but it was definitely needed. Fortunately, they could fit us in with only a 45-minute wait. The... More

From the moment you walk in you feel quite welcomed. Very friendly servers. Food was delicious. They offer a mole' sampler which opened my palate to mole' made with coconut. The guacamole made fresh to your preference was absolutely yummy especially with warm chips. We had chicken tacos, green enchiladas, shrimp tacos, and shrimp with peanut mole' sauce. Mmmmmmm it... My boyfriend and I have been looking for a good Mexican restaurant in our area and after reading reviews on TA, we settled on Mago. The restaurant was busy for a Tuesday night (which means it must be good) but, it's size made it kind of noisy. However, we enjoyed the atmosphere and REALLY enjoyed the food! The arroz con... More

this is what I've been waiting for...a restaurant that appreciates mole...and proudly serves several types each day. do not be afraid to try the octopus appetizer! never had anything like it, wood grilled and served with a rice mix that was full of Latin goodness! try all the moles first to see which ones you like, then settle in for... We usually take friends here...because it's such a gem of a place in the suburbs. The last couple we took here had been to many well known Mexican restaurants in Chicago, where they had waited months for a reservation, and thought this place was sooooo much better! The menu is extensive and always updated. Specials are always something to try.... More

Stopped by for dinner last week. Really enjoyed the table next to the window to people watch. The chips and salsa and soup very good. My husband had the Chimichanga. Half beef and half chicken. He liked the beef side but thought the chicken side was too spicy. My meal was very tasty and the spice was fine. Our waitress... More

Mago is a great place to go for lunch or dinner. I'm happy to report that after my first encounter, that wasn't very good, the last two times I've been have been much, much better. The food portions are huge, at least for lunch. Their tacos are great and the table-made guacamole is out of this world! They also give... More

The fish tacos are great. One gets to chose from three different fish or have one taco with each fish. Nice touch vs having only one type of fish which is typical of many restaurants. The fish is fresh and the tacos are very good. Also, one can decide the temperature of the guacamole and limit the salt which makes... More
