We went because of a groupon. The food was good but nothing special. It is located right in the middle of downtown Arlington Heights so I can see it is likely to be a busy place.

My husband and I stopped here after reading great reviews. It definitely exceeded our expectations! Along with our chips and salsa, we ordered freshly made (at your table) guacamole. It was awesome! As suggested, I ordered the tacos (which were delicious!) And my husband ordered the Mago Grill fajitas. The fajitas are probably enough to eat for two but my... More

We happened upon this restaurant by accident this summer and it is quickly becoming a favorite destination. From the unique salsas and cocktails to the terrific service this place is not your ordinary Mexican restaurant.for those with special dietary needs, the staff was educated and careful (one of the signature salsas contains nuts). Several varieties of Mole have left us... More

Linda and I met our daughters for a birthday lunch at the Mago Grill and Cantina. It is nicely designed restaurant filled with the colors of Mexico. Immediately upon being seated, we were greeted by a friendly waiter who deposited two baskets of tasty chips and a variety of three salsas on the table as we got comfortable, easing into... More

I live in the area and last night was the first time eating at this restaurant. My boyfriend and I were able to eat outside but it does get busy at times. They serve you chips with 3 different sauces when you get seated and the chips were very good. I tried one sauce and it was delicious. Then, they... More

I was strolling in Arlington heights last weekend and decided to check out a local eatery before returning home. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and personal service experienced at Mago Grill. The tableside guacamole was terrific. One improvement would be a more charming and personal person to prepare the dish as it would make it an even better... More

I was walking around Arlington heights downtown last night. My wife and I felt like dibber and a drink. Mago was open. We ordered the ceviche trio and the chicken rolls ( like a giant flauta). My wife ordered a michelada (tomato juice, some sort of seasoning and lime juice with beer) and she lived it. I had a te... More

My husband and I recently ate at Mago Grill and had a great experience. I love mole sauce but find it hard to find in the usual "american" mexican restaurants. Not only did Mago Grill have mole sauce but they had five different versions to choose from. I had never been to a restaurant with this depth of selection available... More

We were the 2nd table seated at the restaurant, and it still took almost 60 minutes to get our dinners. When they finally arrived, they were cold. We complained and they were quickly replaced, but neither the manager nor owner offered a word of apology. This was our second time at this restaurant, and we had service issues the first... More
