Hit and miss service

The food is always top not have bar type foods. The burgers you can't beat for a buck. The fries are hot and delicious and the red hot dog is crisp and juicy. However. Service is often... I don't know. Typical bar waitresses. They're just there to sling drinks. Which are overpriced BTW... read more

Had the Big Elwood. Good. Beef with green peppers grilled. Seasoning was a bit uneven, but tasted okay. This is a place where you want cold American beer with the limited grill menu. Wait staff didn't know if they had free Wi-Fi. Knowing when you order is ready could be problematic for some due the loud music. Nice outside area.

fast Eddies is a great place to go any day or night. The neatest thing about this place is people of all ages come, from college kids to Golden Oldies. They have good food, very reasonably prices, music on weekends, free popcorn, and a great patio. If your in Alton this is a must stop. People from all over the... More

Great place to meet friends, have a quick bite or listen to music and watch a game. Beer is always cold. Service is usually quick - the girls hustle. The grill line can be long - especially on weekends. And don't think about take out or credit - those two things are not allowed. My favorite is burgers and Big... More

The staff was rude and far too over-attentive, in a way that said "suck down another drink so I can get more money." The band was meh and the crowd was off. I understand that it has a national reputation that keeps people coming. Case and point the B2B wanted to go just to "check in" online there but really,... More

The food is cheap and the beer is cold! Right on the river road. So stop here first before you travel north along the river road. It has a great history and you can't beat the under $2 1/2 lb Fast Eddie Burgers. No kids allowed though.

Would you like your money snatched from you and to be talked to rudely? Well this is the place for you. Fast Eddies staff is rude (especially the female that takes your money) and quite frankly Andy the manager was blatantly racist when I took to him a concern. He said his store clerk was justified in snatching money and... More

We love this place and will drive out of our way to stop and enjoy their good food at low prices. We learned about this place from Alton Brown's TV show "Feasting on Asphalt." Since we were also taking a road-trip on the Great River Road which follows the Mississippi River. We like Alton and decided to check the place... More

I've heard stories about Fast Eddies Bon-Air and made it a special point of interest on our trip to St. Louis. The atmosphere was funky and friendly and certainly lived up to my expectations. We ate on the patio, which was comfy on a warm spring day. With the exception of drinks service is counter service and for the price,... More

I patronized this establishment, and I will never eat there again for PERSONAL REASONS. I tried and tasted the "Salty pork on a stick", and it lived up to it's name. This is the type of place when I think of the proverbial hole the wall. You come in, you order your food, take a seat. It is raw, gritty,... More
