I have been stopping here for decades. Honest cocktails and great food. This visit the shrimp were not quite as good as usual but the band, the Big Elwood, and Burger were better than usual. So many spots that are excellent cannot maintain quality for a couple of years. This is an establishment that never disappoints.

What to say about Fast Eddie's? Totally unique; get in line to order food - burgers, huge 29cent shrimp, Pork kabob, Big Elwood (steak kabob), locally-made 99cent bratwurst; you couldn't possibly spend ten bucks for a meal. Interesting history, too; was built in the 1920s or 1930s, just across the street from the world's largest glass bottle factory (became Owens-Illinois).... More

After a great day of bald-eagle spotting along the Mississippi, we happened upon this happening no-frills roadhouse. Fast Eddies has an upbeat feel, simple menu (the simplest ever) and you've gotta remember to bring cash. It's pay as you eat and drink. The brats were fabulous. (and unless you're a deer, I'd recommend steering clear away from the pork kabob... More

Just not a fan of the place or the food. I guess you get what you pay for or maybe we are just to old to enjoy. Very, very ,VERY loud. Service was good. It is a place for younger people to eat and drink inexpensively. My advice would be to ask other people of their experience. But for us... More

Don't know why I've never been till now, but I will definitely be back. Had the shrimp, cheeseburger and fries. Food was great and so inexpensive. I am not a drinker but hang around those who do. They were able to get their drinks with no hassle and the waitress was always there to replenish empty cups. There was a... More

We went there for lunch last week. I don't know of anyplace else in the United States where you can get a homemade bratwurst for 99 cents. All of the food I've had there is very good, inexpensive, and the bar service is excellent. Our glasses were never empty and the draft beer was ice cold and served in a... More

Great food and even better atmosphere. Loud and crowd, but well worth it. Just maybe the best burger place around. Plus, lots of beer. Great people watching place.

I think Fast Eddies food is very good and cheap. I eat shrimp, wings, and fries most of the time. The chicken is my favorite but the burger is so good also. All of my adult family members like eating here. I am not a big drinker but the mixed sweet drinks are really good.

Even if you don't care about live music and a festive bar atmosphere, it's still worth the trip just for the fabulous burgers and other food offerings. I'm so expecting a burger-lookalike when I order one at a drinking establishment that it's memorable to receive a big, juicy, tasty quarter-pound of real beef burger! Plus, the shrimp and the other... More
