Great Place for Lunch and Sweets

Very good food. There are limited options for the main coarse, but tons of options for dessert. There isn't very much seating and it was a bit loud, but nothing was too inconvenient. I had the meat loaf and it was excellent.

We were excited about trying this place. When we walked in the door, we weren't sure if we should wait to be seated or seat ourselves. Another couple walked in after us, so we asked them. They weren't sure either, so we decided to seat ourselves. It was pretty packed, so we grabbed the first empty table. We sat there... More

I heard the rave about their chicken salad and wanted to try it out. It was expensive and not all that. It was served cold which is generally preferred, but lacked taste. I would try it again, but with not so much expectations. Also, I will go back and try the desserts. I hear they are very good.

The chicken salad is awesome.. salads good, and the hot ham an cheese great. The pie is of course wonderful as well. Really like the location and the view of the Mississippi from the restaurant. A little expensive for what you get, but not horrible.

I was hungry for something sweet and stoped at Just Desserts. They had just the piece of pie I need to take the edge off along with a cup of tea. The pie was great and the service quick . I would recommend Just Desserts.

Nice lunch spot, with good sandwiches and excellent desserts. Located in an historic building, built in 1837; believed to be the location of the trial of the murderer of Elijah P. Lovejoy, an early abolitionist. Also the location of a campaign speech by Abraham Lincoln in behalf of the Whig ticket - "Tippecanoe and Tyler, too" - in 1840, more... More

Went here recently with my mom for lunch. Chalkboard menu with a couple of soups, several sandwich combo choices, a few warm items and lots of dessert choices. My mom had a sandwich and chips and I had a type of lasagna that was served in a soup crock with a salad. The lasagna in a bowl was ok not... More

The food at My Just Desserts is great and the desserts are better. Parking is difficult. Although the restaurant is close to downtown, it is on a hill and a corner and parking can be at a premium. But, once in the restaurant you forget all about it. The view of the river is spectacular. I only wish there could... More
