Quaint and Cozy

We went here on the recommendation of a local so you figure they would know the best places to eat. The building is right in the middle of the town. Nice and hilly, very charming and the restaurant comfy, clean and bright. Handicap accessible which was great for my dad who needs a walker. Now on... read more

I stop here for lunch every time I am in town visiting. Beat the crowd and sit by the window and watch the Mississippi float by. Very peaceful and pretty. May see some barge traffic, and sea gulls. The food is always good, and don't miss dessert. Walkable. Walk off that lunch by stopping at nearby shops, boutiques, and antique... More

We had a variety of sandwiches including the chicken panini and chicken salad and the Italian salad. Everyone enjoyed their sandwiches. My chicken salad included green olives. I've never had chicken salad like this, but I'm always going to include olives from now on when I make chicken salad at home. They added an extra pop of flavor that I... More

The inside is decorated nicely, but you're not there for the decor are you!? O.k. so down to business; the food. I took my mom for lunch and I feel bad because we both ended up not liking it. We both ordered the chicken salad sandwich. To me, it tasted like it was drenched in mayo and it was bland,... More

We were excited about trying this place. When we walked in the door, we weren't sure if we should wait to be seated or seat ourselves. Another couple walked in after us, so we asked them. They weren't sure either, so we decided to seat ourselves. It was pretty packed, so we grabbed the first empty table. We sat there... More

I heard the rave about their chicken salad and wanted to try it out. It was expensive and not all that. It was served cold which is generally preferred, but lacked taste. I would try it again, but with not so much expectations. Also, I will go back and try the desserts. I hear they are very good.

Very good food. There are limited options for the main coarse, but tons of options for dessert. There isn't very much seating and it was a bit loud, but nothing was too inconvenient. I had the meat loaf and it was excellent.

The chicken salad is awesome.. salads good, and the hot ham an cheese great. The pie is of course wonderful as well. Really like the location and the view of the Mississippi from the restaurant. A little expensive for what you get, but not horrible.

I was hungry for something sweet and stoped at Just Desserts. They had just the piece of pie I need to take the edge off along with a cup of tea. The pie was great and the service quick . I would recommend Just Desserts.
