My husband and I went for dinner and I was amazed! I was expecting it to be a sit down restaurant and it wasn't. When you walk in you place your order and have a seat. Friendly service! I had ribs and garlic shrimp. Told my husband he could have some an to be honest I didn't share!!! It was... More

We love the 'fall off the bone' ribs and the sauce choices are excellent. I recently discovered the chicken is also delicious and have always loved the sliced or pulled pork sandwich. The service is excellent and staff friendly and swift. I have yet to find better ribs anywhere!

This is great for take out. The barbeque is authentic and very good. A lot of options and sides. I prefer the pulled pork, but the ribs are excellent. It is very casual if you choose to eat there. Then you can try all of the sauces available.

Best barbeque in McHenry County. Try the all meat platter and or the pulled pork sandwich, either one will fill you to satisfaction.

Not what I was expecting for a Northern IL BBQ joint. This is not your sit down and order type of establishment. You order at the counter and someone brings out your order to you after you find a seat. The staff is very friendly and did check on me a couple of times to make sure I was good.... More

Was expecting a large, friendly bbq joint with delicious bbq food and a wide selection of cold, tasty beer. Well, the food part was spot on but the rest not so much. At this place you just order at a counter where the people are cordial but nothing more, and you just help yourself to bottles of beer. A strange... More

A true Texas style smoke house located in Illinois. They have the best baby back ribs I have had anywhere in the country and are what I compare all other restaurants ribs against. To complement the ribs with their fall off the bone meat are three different home-made BBQ sauces that are served hot. I don't know why other places... More

This is a casual, order at the counter, roadhouse type restaurant. The ribs are excellent. My favorite is the beef ribs. They are huge. It reminds me of getting a slab of ribs like Fred Flintstone had in the cartoons. The sauce is tangy sweet. Skip the salad bar. I can't speak to the other things on the menu as... More

Loved the fall-off-the-bone ribs. Don't settle for the standard bbq sauce, get a side of hot sauce instead. We got carryout so we didn't get the full dine-in experience. Decor brought me back to my 2 years in Texas (Austin & San Antonio). Everything was yummy and authentic. I've been on a mission for good bbq ever since Rail Good... More

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the pulled pork sandwich. I even had a funnel cake for dessert. My salad from the salad bar was a bit plain though. Just ice berg lettuce, tomatos and cucumber. But who goes to Texas for salad?
