port Edward has the enviable location of downtown Algonquin on the Fox river. The parking lot has great view of the Fox and the restaurant has a boat floating in an indoor pond for a really romantic dinner. possibly even more romantic id the private booth in the lighthouse, where you are alone and secluded! The menu is varied, the... More

This place has an almost iconic reputation locally, even I grew up locally and remember my parents raving about Port Edwards. Here in the mid-west it seems difficult to have a good seafood restaurant. We have been avoiding this place since having a horrible experience with a brunch, but my son chose Port Edwards for his 14th Birthday Dinner. We... More

Port Edwards Restaurant had just average food and service. I had expected better when I read reviews, so perhaps I had expected too much. The restaurant looks old. That with average food and service made for a disappointing experience. I do not plan on returning there.

As I approached Port Edwards on the lovely Fox River; I was pleased to see that some things remain the same. The sailboat and koi were inside to greet my family along with the much beloved nautical theme. Our hostess was as sparkly and refreshing as the champagne we all enjoyed. The food was very good and my family enjoyed... More

We sat outside which was nice but to go inside was so chaotic, crowded and to get to the buffet you had to walk through the crowd waiting to be seated. Then wait in line for a plate, then wait in line for the food. There weren't enough breakfast items and it was way too overpriced. For 6 of us... More

Thank you, Marejg, for your feedback regarding our Father's Day Brunch. We are glad you enjoyed the Dockside Patio. We do apologize for the hectic crowding, however, such is typical for holidays as we always have nearly 1,500+ guests that join us for our Brunch. Dockside Dining is always a first come, first served basis, and only reservations were taken... More

The surf & turf was absolutely amazing. It had a huge lobster tail! Everything tasted so fresh too. I also had the warm chocolate lava cake with fresh whip cream and it was very good! The dockside patio was great, it was so nice to relax right on the fox river with some music and fresh air. The only negative... More

For the first time in many years we decided to brave the crowds and bad food typical for eating out on a holiday and made a reservation for Easter Brunch at Port Edward. We had a reservation for 8 people and were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time. Although the restaurant was jam-packed, the wait staff was on... More

Poor service, Fish was dry and overcooked. Server put in wrong steak order, came out finally undercooked, second time it was still undercooked. Never asked about refills on drinks. Forgot one persons dessert. No wonder the restaurant was empty. Would never go there for a special occasion again. Server seemed overwhelmed and no manager in sight. Not worth the expense!!

Went on New Years for the first time. Menu was huge, food was great. Just wished there was more private tables.
