Port Edward is a hidden gem of a restaurant!

The other reviewers are a little harsh. Let's be honest folks, this restaurant is over 50 years old, and the building literally has a boat floating in the middle of it!! What more could you ask for for DIFFERENT? The food is excellent in my opinion, it is a great mix of steak and seafood. I am not... read more

Quite frankly we go here only during the summer to sit out by the Fox River and enjoy the afternoon. The live music can be pretty good and helps make the scene. A nice selection of food on the menu makes for a very satisfying experience.

They have great seafood and the atmosphere on the Fox River is very nice, with music in the bar area. This is a great restaurant to eat at.

The service and food here are very good and consistently so. We used to go no less than 6 times a year, but since they took the all you can eat crab legs off the menu, we have been there 2 times in the last 3 years. It is still the best place for sea food in the area and... More

If you want fresh and delicious seafood in the suburbs this is the place to go. Raw oysters were delicious as was the king crab. My husband ordered Trout which was perfectly prepared and so good. Their dinner and fish entrees were reasonably priced, the steaks and shellfish quite expensive, but the quality is there.

My family took me to Port Edward last night to celebrate my birthday. We have been to this restaurant many times throughout the last 25 years. We have gone for the Friday fish buffet, the Sunday brunch to celebrate numerous occasions, as well as dining outside by the Fox River in the summer. Last night was the worst experience we... More

Hi. I'd like to send my gratitude for your review. Obviously it's not ideal to receive but I'm glad to have your input. I understand your visit was not the most ideal but unfortunately we must agree to disagree on some of the circumstances. You are correct in that our birthday promotion is not valid with our daily specials, which... More

Went there for a Friday Fish Fry but were blown away by their seafood buffet. Without a doubt the most diverse, high quality and abundant seafood presentation in the greater Chicagoland area! Will definitely repeat our experience.

We have not been here in about 2 years. Very disappointing. The 6 oz. filet was tough. The filet medallions with the Stewards Choice entree were tiny- looked like small slices of Spam. The restaurant on a Sat night was very empty - I guess others have already figured out that the restaurant had gone down hill. The lobster bisque... More
