Good food

On our last day in Maui we scheduled the pineapple plantation tour- which we enjoyed. After the tour we had lunch at the Hali'imaile General Store. It's an old fashioned Hawaiian plantation style house and the food was very good. Service was good. They have great salads and we enjoyed eating there.

We arrived early for our 7:30 reservation and Manager Ryan Zurano welcomed us and seated us immediately. Parking is tight next to the restaurant however, you can park across the street. We ordered their award winning Mai Tai which didn't disappoint. Jereth our waiter was attentive and informative on the menu. We orderd the Togarashi Shishito peppers. Spicy and delicious.... More

We've been eating here since the mid '90s. The quality of the food goes up and down, depending on the current chef. Well, the restaurant has taken an upswing. With the new chef, it is much improved over the last few years. We had the best meal ever at the restaurant. Definitely worth a visit, even if you had given... More

Some of the freshest in Hawaii. Casual and vibrant but great food with even better service. Do not try to detour here while on haleakala bike ride as it is 4 miles of uphill on the way back. Great food at average price

We have eaten here several times when we've been in that neck of the woods. It is very widely advertised. The food is good but it is a very noisy place which we found not all that conducive to a great dining experience. Prices are on the high side considering the atmosphere. Make sure to go across the street to... More

Our trip to Maui always includes at least one meal here...friendly, open kitchen, divine food! The Brie and grape tostada is memorable as a starter. So many choices...must go again! Highly recommend. The drive into the country is lovely too.

I love eating here for a few reasons. First of all, the food is always delicious, I rarely leave anything behind. Secondly, the service is excellent, they always give us ample time to enjoy our meal but are around enough to offer help when we need it. Third the building atmosphere is great, it's an old plantation-style building decorated with... More

This was worth the drive! The server was helpful with selections. I needed to eat gluten free so he helped me with details on that. I had the ribs which were delicious! My husband had a burger which he said was very tasty. Too bad we were too full for dessert! We will visit again on our next trip to... More

As a long time resident of Maui, I have had meals all over this island, from lau lau sold door to door, too Full banquet style dinners and everything in between. Last night's meal was exceptional, service was spot on! Almost to casual to be THIS GOOD!

Fun restaurant, we ate lunch there before exploring Makawao, food was yummy but on the more expensive end of things, I didn't have young kids with me but it would be fine with family members of any age, pretty noisy in the front room and really busy so I recommend a reservation and ask for the back room if the...
