You have to make it to the Wake Up Cafe for breakfast if you are staying anywhere in the north part of Kauai. It is very un-assuming and you may walk past without noticing. However, once you decide to come in and sit down ORDER THE CINNAMON ROLL!! Seriously, it is the biggest, best tasting, mouth watering cinnamon roll i've... More

We went here for breakfast as we were told that the place was excellent if we wanted to try out where the locals go. I ordered the Hang Ten Special. I received two small eggs, 3 round slices of Portuguese sausages (about 2 inches in diameter) and a scoop of rice. Coffee was not included - it's about $3.00, and... More

I had a few great breakfasts at this cafe during our stay on Kauai. My favorite thing by far was the macadamia nut cinnamon roll. It's the best cinnamon roll I've ever had, and it was HUGE! It is worth the stop for that item alone. The view of the mountains from the patio was awesome, and service was always... More

Local breakfast place. Very reasonably priced-very local. Good breakfast, quick service (mostly). If you do not want to cook breakfast you should give it a try.

It's a timeless, traditional breakfast place. As usual in Kauai, the service was excellent. The menu choices are typical for breakfast places anywhere in the mainline. It's good, not great

Hanalei Wake up cafe is a very simple, bare bones place with a beautiful view of Hanalei mountains. We shared the Macadamia nut cinnamon roll which was really good.It was surprisingly not overwhelmingly sweet. So good! I also had a papaya yogurt granola bowl. It had a very homemade toasty, nutty granola that was unexpected and VERY good! Didn't care... More

If you are an early riser, this is the place for you. 7am open, 11am closed. Surf’s Up. Everything we ordered was delicious. A must try when doing breakfast in Hanalei.

We love breakfast and this area has limited options. The food was average in taste, which is fine. Our complaint is the how much they charge for what you get. We both had egg dishes and split the cinnamon roll. I recognize food costs are expensive on the islands but we've been to many places that served better for less.... More
