Really good lunch

The restaurant was really busy during the lunch time rush, it seemed to be very popular with the locals and it was a Sunday afternoon when we visited. Go and enjoy the fabulous desserts after an evening out in downtown Augusta. We love to go after the symphony and enjoy coffee and dessert for a special treat.

My friend lives in Augusta, GA, and my husband, daughter, and I had gone to visit her. She told us about this great restaurant that had the most awesome desserts. We were excited to try it and had gone to their website to pick out which dessert we wanted! I chose red velvet cake, and my husband was excited to... More

We had a great lunch in this recommended restaurant. Our server, Melissa, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We shared a delicious dessert, which was big enough for 3 or 4! Of course we ate it all anyway, but it could have served more! Delicious salad as well, and my husband enjoyed his shrimp and grits.

Cute place with easy parking downtown. Good menu selection with a variety of southern favorites! But, the show stopper is their dessert menu- Always delicious and be prepared to share, because dessert portions are huge. The hardest part is deciding which dessert to choose. Great place for a taste of southern charm and hospitality.

Just had an amazing lunch with friends here on our way through Augusta to Birmingham, Alabama. The fried green tomato and seared tuna apps were amazing. My Georgia Gent sandwich was awesome and I chose the side salad with homemade Vidalia onion dressing. Definitely a great choice! The highlight was the extensive collection of homemade desserts; couldn't choose just one.... More

OMG, the cakes and pies oh my!!!! I never ate a meal here, unless a slice of cake counts as a meal. The desserts were so good that when we would travel to visit relatives they would request and we would deliver their favorite dessert from Boll Weevil. Desserts are made fresh and it shows.

Sometimes I just want to skip the sandwich and go straight for the desserts. I usually do not order dessert at lunch, but I CANNOT eat at BW without having a slice of cake. The slices are huge and you could easily have four people eat one slice....or just tell them to put yours in a to go box so... More

Shrimp and Grits to die for! Tomato Apple Soup was sweet and spicy with chunks of apples and tomatoes. Blueberry Cheesecake was very creamy and a perfect ending to a great meal. The server, Mary, was friendly and attentive. This is our second visit this month. Definitely worth another visit!

This place is just fantastic. Everything we tried was divine. The soups are some of the best we've ever had. The corn chowder is to die for with its spiciness and packed with herbs and you can still taste the fresh buttery sweet corn that's packed in. The sandwiches use fresh meat as well. It almost feels like a crime... More
