Good food!!!

My mom and I love to go to Rae's for lunch. The food is very good (especially the fried onions!!!) and the service is WONDERFUL!!! My mom is somewhat handicap and the staff is always so helpful and kind in getting her in and out. Rae's is a bit out of the way, but totally worth it!

Eight of us (2 families) ate together here and they were so accommodating. We had a 6 mo. old, 3 yr old, and 9 yr old kids and 5 adults. We were seated promptly and our orders were taken right away. Waitress helped us with all our special requests and the manager checked on us, too. The food was very... More

Although I am an Augusta native, I had never eaten at Rae's. While visiting my mom, we decided to try somewhere different for lunch and we're glad we did. The crab cake and chicken puffed pastry were delicious, as were the boiled shrimp. We will definitely return when it is not quite so cold to enjoy lunch on the patio.

Our visit to Rae's was quite memorable (once we got there). Everything was wonderful. Food was served hot, great variety on the menu, beachey atmosphere, very attentive waitress, and honestly one of the most enjoyable meals we had on our recent trip to that area. Don't think you could go wrong here if every visit was like ours.

The food is delicious, great hidden location and excellent staff. The atmosphere is like being in Key West or on the coast. Dress up or down and be prepared to be impressed if you like good food, casual dining and great service. Enjoy....

Best chicken patty you can get outside of Jamaica!! Just went back to Rae's for the first time in a while and got my old standby, the chicken puff pastry, I love it and it's always great! Service was excellent, only thing I could question is the serving size on their soup...they could definitely provide more for what you're spending.

Over the past 15 years, I’ve dined at Raes Coastal Café 40+ times, and, though I could put it more eloquently, I have this to say: It doesn’t suck, Mon! The attentive service, drool-worthy apps and entrees and the good company of the gracious, gregarious owner Walter Clay… This is my restaurant of choice for business, for buddies, for after-workout-grab-it-to-go... We went to lunch at Rae's Coastal Café to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary because we always enjoy their food. We got there early and snagged a table by the creek. The Bob Marley Jamaican interior was a fun way to have a touch of Caribbean without actually having to take a trip. Molly came over to our table to... More

If you are not a regular you definitely need your GPS. Rae's is tucked away and hard to find the first time. I had the jerked chicken wings and a salad off the appetizer menu, they were GREAT. Others in the group had shrimp & grits, coconut shrimp and a steak dinner. I do believe the martinis stole the show.... More
