Authentic Indian food! The buffet is affordable, and tasty. I prefer to order off the menu, the items that I have had are EXCELLENT! This is a family owed restaurant, you can tell they love serving and seeing their customers happy.

So there is a young guy here that works. He tries to close the place early each day so he can go hang around with his little hoodlum friends. To top that off when you pay cash for your meal/ take out he puts the cash in his pocket and takes the sale from his boss. He cannot give you... More

This restaurant was small and crowded - they need a bigger location. Great atmosphere, great service, cool dishes, and tasty food. I had the Navratan Korma, which is not the usual orange sauce for a vegetable korma, but a cashew sauce that is lighter in color. Different but still good over white rice. My husband had the Chicken Tikka Masala,... More

The food was good though a little cramped. Menu items were robust and had a wide variety of choices. I will be going back - soon!

Being new to Augusta, I was excited to learn of The Taj and especially thrilled to know they have a buffet. When I got there for lunch I was surprised to find it in a corner of the restauramt. It was limited in selection. The entire buffet was bland. The raita was thin and watery with little yogurt content. The... More

Met my parents here for dinner tonight and really enjoyed most of the food. We had veg samosas, chicken tika masala, lamb curry, tandori chicken and nan/rice. We weren't particularly thrilled with the garam masala spices sprinkeled on the samosas and the chicken tika was a little heavy on an herb, I think cilantro.....but I'd still order the again. When... When first walking into this place you forget quickly that you are in Georgia. The music paintings and smells transform you to India. The food is very good and being one a just a couple of Indian restaurants this is our go to spot! The restaurant is very clean, I saw the steam off the mop from a person in... More

This Indian buffet was like an express train to heaven. Thoughtful dishes, expertly spiced, great variety. It was missing my standard favorite, saag paaneer, but I was enticed to try new dishes that were fabulous. The naan was obviously homemade, and delicious. You could tell that the staff was invested in your enjoyment of the food and atmosphere, everything was... More

The lunch buffet is good, but the service is poor and they at times do not have items replaced on the buffet in a timely manner. You may have to wait for them to put out any chicken or vegetables. It gets very crowed in the evenings and being a small restaurant you have to stand in the back waiting... More

I have been here during a Sunday lunch buffet and a regular weekday dinner and both times were very satisfying. Since it is a fairly small place, it can get packed pretty quickly during peak dining hours, but fortunately for us, we have always been able to snatch a table. I have noticed though that their takeout is very busy...something... More
