To start, we walked in and waited 10 minutes before any staff member acknowledged the two of us. When we were finally sat the menus given were dirty and the water and tea ordered took too long. We ordered a tandoori app. That was unappealing, partly burnt and puny for $10. The saag paneer was lacking in flavor but the... More

We first fell in love with Indian food after sampling dishes at the lunch buffet at Evergreen in Corvallis, Oregon. Since then, all other Indian restaurants have been measured by that experience, with some falling woefully short and some meeting the high standards set by Corvallis' Evergreen. I'm happy to announce that Taj of India meets the high standards and... More

I arrived and stood near the counter trying to figure out who worked there and who the greeter was, the waiter finally realized that I was there to eat, then seated me, It as my first time there so I assumed I was going to get a menu eventually, waited another 10 mins but to no avail, no waiter, no... I had never tried Indian food because I was too scared to try it! After reading the reviews for Taj of India, I decided I would give it a try. I loved it! I definitely stuck with the recommendations of our waiter. He was very helpful and pointed us in the right direction! We will definitely go back!

We like a variety of food and this is the ONLY restaurant we eat at monthly. It's a favorite and is our favorite take on Indian dishes in the area. Try the Chicken Makhani or the Saag, with some garlic naan.

Being a rather finicky eater, I have always been hesitant to try unfamiliar foods. This was my very first encounter with Indian food, and I must say I was very impressed. The restaurant is rather small, yet comfortable, and very clean. The staff is quite friendly and willing to offer suggestions for "newcomers." Chicken Tikka Masala was highly recommended and... More

Taj of India is fantastic! Their buffet is so reasonably priced, and yet, has so much food and variety. It is all authentic and delicious. I could eat here every day! It is spicy but not too spicy and I can eat REALLY hot. It is an abundance of goodness!

I am not usually a huge fan of Indian food(largely b/c I can't stand anise as a seasoning) but go sometimes b/c my wife really enjoys it. When we went here I was pleasantly surprised. The food was quite good, no single season/spice overpowering and the portions were quite large. Most of your standard Indian dishes but cooked quite well.... More
