We enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The portions are large. Great nachos and tacos! HIGHLY Recommend!

Way over priced for a very mediocre tasting food. Salsa is nothing more than a watered down tomato puree. All 5 entrees ordered came with minimal amounts of meat and poorly seasoned. There are MUCH better places for Mexican food in Athens for a fraction of the price. My family and I will not be back. On a positive note,... More

Ate at Jefferson RD one. Staff is quick to help all through the meal. Had chilli relano but was a little cold maybe pre made. My wife loves them though. Fish tacos were good and colorful. Like other Mexican places free chips and salsa. Plenty of seating too.

This review is for the La Parilla, east side Athens, on Gaines School Road. I had fajitas: steak was good quality, but the toppings were skimpy -- a plate of mainly mexican rice, small portion of refried beans, very small amounts of tomato (low quality) and guacamole. Service was okay with one major exception - I got a to-go box... More

What can I say? The service and food are always at the best quality! YUM YUM YUM! Try the chicken fajita quesadilla with some cheese dip on top... it's to die for!

I have found that the La Parilla on Gaines School Road has much better food than the one in Homewood Hills. Also, the restaurant is much nicer with a better atmosphere. Service is good, food is good for the Athens area.

This is a little embarrassing, but my family eats here twice a week at least. The staff know my kids by name and all the waiters and waitresses make a point of stopping by to say hi to them. Great family atmosphere and the food is always good and constant! Great fish tacos, fajitas, you name it you can't go... More

If you're looking for average, run of the mill Mexican food - this is your place. The food was decent, in my opinion. I did, however, really enjoy my sangria. Also, the servers just don't appear to be incredibly friendly. Maybe we were there on an off night - I am willing to try again!

The food was good, just not great. The service is very friendly but the noise level sometimes makes it difficult to understand what others are asking. It also makes it difficult for the server to hear your order. Even when we received the wrong appetizer, though, they were very gracious and quickly brought us what we ordered.

To be honest, I'm not a big Mexcian food eater. My wife, though, loves it. So, every once in a while, I will tell her that we can go eat Mexican food. I have found that getting a chicken and cheese quesadilla is the closest thing to authentic Mexican food that I like. Well, we decided to try the new... More
