We were looking for a late lunch early dinner on a Sunday in Athens and we happened upon the restaurant after our 1st choice was closed until dinner. It turned out to be better. The music was great and the food was good. Our order got messed up and the appetizer came at the same time as our meal and... More

I went over to Athens from Atlanta for a belated fathers day to meet with my daughter. We tried to go to one restaurant, but we were early so we went two doors down to Globe. I really liked the atmosphere, since it reminded me of my college days, but was really surprised at the selection and quality of food.... More

Of the few places we ate in Athens this was by far the best service!! We ordered the fish and chips -despite the fish being a little overlooked it was good. We also ordered a slice of carrot cake. Very fresh, very moist. The service was what would make me go back here. Our server was on top of our... More

Arrived about 11:20 a.m. before the kitchen actually opened. We were invited to come in and make ourselves comfortable. Drinks arrived very quickly. Varied menu gave lots of options. Probably the best chef salad I have ever eaten - so simple but full of fresh vegetables, meats and cheese. Others in the group enjoyed the fish and chips dinner and... More

In town on business and had the pleasure of stopping in for lunch on St. Patrick's Day. Great food, service and atmosphere. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to experience the local vibe.

A rainy Sunday afternoon, a pint of draft Guinness, and Celtic music...what more can a man ask for in life?! Crowded atmosphere, but has all the elements of a pub. Food is good, but a bit pricey. We like the cheese and bread appetizer.

As someone who worked at UGA, and several of whose coworkers frequented the place, I can honestly tell you that it's a tad pretentious. They do have some mean fish and chips, and if you can deal with the people who go in here and act as if their crap doesn't stink, then you could probably have a good time... More

Good beer, good food, good atmosphere. Central to everything in downtown Athens. Couple years ago Esquire Magazine noted it one of best pubs in country.

I was told by another visitor what a wonderful place this was and unfortunately I took a group of business associates from out of town. We arrived at 4:51, it took ten minutes before anyone even came to get our drink orders. We were a party of 6 and they put us right in front of the door (so every time... More

This is a hang-out spot for me. The food is comfort food -- I love the french dip sandwich, the nachos (even better with the spicy vegan chili), the burgers, and of course, the generous cheese plate. It is so cozy here when they have the fire going in winter time, and in the Spring, it is such a local... More
