Bottom line. Get the margaritas!! Food was great to share with a group. Queso and guac are small servings and I would not suggest the nachos if you love them in sauce (like I do). The quesadilla was great

Back in town as the next generation embarks on the college experience. Having a ball exploring old haunts and The Taco Stand was on the list! SO glad it still has incredible food and service - just as it did in the early 80's!!

Yummy, Yummy, Yummy. For the last two years and after the GDay game, my wife and I have enjoyed both experiences. We plan to come here everyyear. Great food and a great price!

Great local place to stop that offers phenomenal tacos! We ate at the one downtown, and noticed there was another on the outskirts of town. I'm sure it's just as tasty!

IWas looking for a quick snack and a few beers. I had two beef tacos and a few dos equis. The price was less than $10 and the food was not bad. Health score could have been higher but took a chance.

I've been eating at the TStand for over twenty years now and it is a must-visit whenever I'm in Athens. The deluxe meat burrito and a quesdilla with onions and peppers is awesome. The one at the corner of Prince and Milledge is my all time favorite but the downtown location is the one I usually visit now. The ordering... More

I've been eating here for years--all the way back to high school. My favorite thing ever is their cheese dip, which is the best I've ever had at any Mexican Restaurant--it has spinach in it. I love their quesadilla with chicken and onions. Their regular beef taco is also excellent. Be sure to try their homemade lemonade as well. Both... More

It's difficult for a restaurant to keep their food consistent for a long period of time. Taco Stand has done just that. The nachos, cheese dip, and burritos are my favorite. The black bean and rice burrito extra hot is incredible and I can't find anything like it anywhere else. Great for lunch, dinner, or late night. Fun bar with... More

This place is pretty darn good for a cheapo taco place. The food cannot be good for you, but it was tasty. They were a little slow, but all in all pretty good!

Simple, cheap, average. It's hard to come back here when I can get to Cali n Titos, Taqueria del Sol, and Sr. Sol in town. So it's not really about the quality of their food, which is cheap, simple, and what you'd expect for college town american-mexican, but why spend my calories here when it's competitors are better?
